Meghan McCain & Joy Behar Get in a Heated Battle on 'The View' Over Matt Gaetz Allegations

Joy Behar and Meghan McCain are butting heads again.

The View co-hosts battled in out while discussing Rep. Matt Gaetz, who is reportedly under federal investigation for allegations of sex trafficking.

During the discussion, Whoopi Goldberg asked Meghan why she felt the Republican Party was staying by the representative’s side amid allegations.

“Well, because the only sin that you commit in the Republican party these days is if you say that Biden won the election — everything else is fine,” Joy sarcastically said.

“Well, first of all, I have family members and good friends who all work on Capitol Hill in Republican politics and trust me: the Republican Party and people on Capitol Hill are embarrassed by this. So, I think I have a lot better sourcing on that than you do, Joy, no offense,” Meghan said.

“It’s super disgusting. He should go to jail. It’s super embarrassing…he’s a deeply unserious person. He should be removed from his committees. There’s some people on the left that I think should be removed from their committees for some of the things that they’ve said about Israel and some of the things that they’ve said — like, I get it, if we want to talk about removing committees, we can do this all day long. But, Matt Gaetz is a pervert who should go to jail. Okay. The end.”

Later on, Joy asked: “My question is: if it’s not the Republican Party, shall I call it the QAnon party? What shall I call your party now, who defends people like Matt Gaetz and goes against Liz Cheney? What are we supposed to call it? Explain this to me.”

“I think you can call it whatever you want because your influence in the Republican Party is almost zero and again, as I have said on this show, it is for us to figure out amongst ourselves,” Meghan hit back.

“What Republican is like, ‘Hmm, Joy Behar doesn’t like my party, I better stop voting for them now’?”

“You said people on Capitol Hill are supporting him. I’m telling you, from people that I know personally, they are embarrassed. This is embarrassing for the Republican Party,” Meghan went on to say.

Meghan McCain issued an apology recently regarding aiding in racist rhetoric.

Caitlyn Jenner is reacting to Joy Behar‘s comments.

While discussing Caitlyn‘s bid for California governor on Friday (April 23), The View co-host repeatedly addressed Caitlyn as a “he”.

“He’s got this guy Brad Parscale running his campaign. What do you think about that?” Joy asked fellow co-host, Sunny Hostin.“I mean, that guy was accused of using campaign funds to enrich himself. That’s who is running his campaign — or her campaign, rather.”

Joy Behar Misgendered Caitlyn Jenner Multiple Times on 'The View' & Explained What Happened

Joy Behar is apologizing the use of her pronouns while discussing Caitlyn Jenner‘s run for California governor on The View on Friday (April 23).

While discussing Caitlyn‘s bid for the governmental position, the 78-year-old co-host of the long-running show first addressed Caitlyn as a “he”.

“He’s got this guy Brad Parscale running his campaign. What do you think about that?” Joy asked to another co-host of the program, Sunny Hostin.“I mean, that guy was accused of using campaign funds to enrich himself. That’s who is running his campaign — or her campaign, rather.”

Joy quickly corrected the pronoun, however, did it once more in the program as well.

After a short commercial break, Joy addressed the mix up and explained just what happened.

“So first of all, let me apologize for my pronoun mix-up. I think I just didn’t get enough sleep last night,” she shared with The View watchers. “I had no intention of mixing them up and I tried to correct it immediately but, whatever, it just came out. So, I’m sorry if anybody was upset by that.”

Caitlyn announced that she was officially running for the position on Friday morning. Read her statement here…

Joy Behar Trends on Twitter for Telling 'The View' Co-Host Meghan McCain 'I Did Not Miss You' on Maternity Leave

Joy Behar did not hold back on The View in a moment that has now gone viral on Tuesday (January 5).

The longtime co-host sparred with Meghan McCain, who returned from maternity leave on Monday (January 4).

“On the one hand you have the Republicans,” Joy said, “and on the other hand you have the seditionists…Among the Democrats you have the progressives and the moderates which is de rigueur.”

Meghan interrupted, saying, “Are you kidding me?,” but then, Joy responded, “Excuse me, I’m not done.”

“Well it’s just that’s completely inaccurate. Joy you missed me so much when I was on maternity leave – you missed fighting with me,” Meghan said.

“I did not,” Joy said in response. “I did not miss you. Zero.”

“That’s so nasty,” Meghan retorted. “That’s so rude. That’s, like, so nasty.”

Whoopi Goldberg then interjected, “This is not the way to do it and I’m going to now become Whoopi and say Sara I’d like to hear from you right now.”
