Marvel Boss Reveals Julia Louis-Dreyfus Will Return For More Marvel Projects

Julia Louis-Dreyfus made quite an impression when she popped up in Disney+’s Marvel series, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

The 60-year-old actress starred as Contessa Valentina Allegra de la Fontaine, a major person of interest in the Marvel universe who first enlists the services of the disgraced Captain America, John Walker (Wyatt Russell) for an unknown reason.

Julia also made a reappearance at the end of Black Widow, as the Contessa shared a photo of Clint “Hawkeye” Barton (Jeremy Renner) to Yelena (Florence Pugh), telling her that he was responsible for Natasha’s death.

Now, according to Marvel boss Kevin Feige, that isn’t the last we’ve seen of her.

“She’s doing something. She’s in recruitment mode. Does Yelena already work for her? They seem to have a connection at that point,” he told the D23 Inside Disney podcast. “The future is bright for the MCU because Julia Louis-Dreyfus is in it. We are gigantic fans of her at Marvel.”

He added, “The notion of bringing her into the world was always something, if we could find the right thing, we wanted to do.”

“When this role came about and the opportunity to have her in [Black] Widow, in [The] Falcon [and The Winter Soldier], and maybe in some other things coming up…” Kevin hinted.

The Veep cast is reuniting!

The cast of the Julia Louis-Dreyfus-led comedy will reunite for a virtual table read in order to help get out the vote for the Georgia runoff elections in January, they announced in a statement Tuesday (November 24).

Stars Anna Chlumsky, Reid Scott, Sam Richardson, Tony Hale, Timothy Simons, Clea DuVall, Matt Walsh, Gary Cole and Sarah Sutherland are set to join, with showrunner and executive producer David Mandel also participating in the reunion.

“The cast of Veep had so much fun coming together during the election that we were looking for something else to do,” they joked in the announcement.

They will be doing a virtual table read of the Emmy Award-winning episode “Mother,” which also played out similarly to this year’s presidential election.

“2020 won’t stop ripping off VEEP, so we had to do something about it,” Julia said on her Instagram.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus was also the host of the fourth and final night of the 2020 Democratic National Convention and she made some digs at President Trump while moderating the evening. Find out what she said!
