Kaitlyn Dever to Star in Revisionist Take on 'Romeo & Juliet'

Kaitlyn Dever has an exciting new movie in the works!

The 24-year-old actress, best known for her work in Booksmart and the Netflix series Unbelievable, will star in the upcoming movie Rosaline, which is being described as a “comedic and revisionist take on Romeo & Juliet.”

The movie is based on the novel “When You Were Mine” by Rebecca Serle, whose novel “Famous in Love” was previously turned into a Freeform series.

Kaitlyn Dever is taking on a role alongside superstars.

The 24-year-old Booksmart actress is set to join the cast of Ticket to Paradise, co-starring George Clooney and Julia Roberts, Deadline reported Tuesday (April 27).

The original comedy finds George and Julia, who are also longtime friends in real life, playing a divorced couple who decide to travel to Bali in an attempt to prevent their daughter from making the same mistake they made 25 years ago.

Kaitlyn Dever Set to Star in New Movie ‘No One Will Save You’

Kaitlyn Dever is taking on an exciting new project!

According to Deadline, the 23-year-old Golden Globe-nominated actress has joined the cast of No One Will Save You.

While plot details have yet to be revealed, the film is set to be written and directed by Brian Duffield, who wrote the screenplay for the 2018 film Underwater starring Kristen Stewart.

Kaitlyn‘s latest movie is the film adaptation of Dear Evan Hansen, where she’ll play Zoe Murphy.

The star-studded cast also features Ben Platt reprising his Tony-award winning role as Evan Hansen, as well as Julianne Moore as Heidi Hansen, Amy Adams as Cynthia Murphy, Danny Pino as Larry Murphy, Colton Ryan as Connor Murphy, Amandla Stenberg as Alana Beck, and Nik Dodani as Jared Kleinman.

The film is set to hit theaters September 24, 2021.

'Dear Evan Hansen' Movie Gets Release Date, Will Hit Theaters This Year!

A release date has been announced for the upcoming Dear Evan Hansen movie!

Ben Platt is reprising his Tony-winning role from the Broadway musical in the film adaptation of the stage show.

Also featured in the cast are Kaitlyn Dever as Zoe Murphy, Julianne Moore as Heidi Hansen, Amy Adams as Cynthia Murphy, Danny Pino as Larry Murphy, Colton Ryan as Connor Murphy, Amandla Stenberg as Alana Beck, and Nik Dodani as Jared Kleinman.

Stephen Chbosky, the author of the book “The Perks of Being a Wallflower” and the director of that book’s film adaptation, is directing the movie.

Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, who already won a Tony Award for the show’s music, have written a new song with Amandla for her character, who didn’t have a solo in the stage version.

The movie is hitting theaters on September 24, 2021.

Kaitlyn Dever fans were treated to a lot of great news today!

The 23-year-old Golden Globe-nominated actress, who is about to start filming the Dear Evan Hansen movie, was just cast in an exciting limited series for Hulu, the trailer for her other Hulu series was revealed, and she even dropped a new song.

Kaitlyn just booked the lead role opposite Michael Keaton in the upcoming eight-episode limited series Dopesick, which will follow America’s struggle with opioid addiction. Deadline reports that she will play “proud female coal miner and patient of Keaton’s Dr. Finnix. They have a close relationship that is tested with the release of the new painkiller OxyContin.”

Another Hulu project that Kaitlyn worked on will be released next month and the trailer was just revealed. She is starring in season one of the upcoming horror anthology series Monsterland. All eight episodes premiere on Hulu on Friday, October 2. Watch the new trailer below!

Kaitlyn Dever is reportedly in talks to star in the movie version of the musical Dear Evan Hansen.

The musical centers on a high schooler (Hansen) with social anxiety. “He unintentionally gets caught up in a lie after the family of a classmate who committed suicide mistakes one of Hansen’s letters for their son’s suicide note.”

Kaitlyn is in talks to play Zoe, who begins dating Hansen after he begins a relationship with the classmate’s family, Variety reports.

Ben Platt is expected to reprise his Tony-award winning role from the musical.

Kaitlyn Dever & Joey King To Star In 'The Wildest Animals in Griffith Park' Comedy Series With Margot Robbie Producing

Joey King and Kaitlyn Dever are set to star in a new comedy series, tentatively titled The Wildest Animals in Griffith Park.

The two young actors took part in a pitch video call during the age of social distancing for the show, alongside producer Margot Robbie. The trio teamed up to sell the project for streaming services and cable TV, according to THR.

The pitch included a “live” video of the three “as they interact and share their vision for the half-hour live-action show and an audience of cardboard cutouts depicting Netflix chief Ted Sarandos and Amazon’s Jennifer Salke, among other potential buyers, is shown applauding enthusiastically.”

The Wildest Animals in Griffith Park is created by Tyler Nilson and Michael Schwartz, of The Peanut Butter Falcon fame.

The comedy is reported to center on two young women, Diane (Dever) and Jackie (King), as they move to a wooden house in a park to experience nature, and discover their purpose in the life.

The series will show how their lives will be in place when they cross paths with a couple, Andy and Blair.

It’s based upon Tyler and Michael‘s own real-life experience as they secretly lived in a park in the hills of Los Angeles while they developed The Peanut Butter Falcon.
