Angela Bassett joins Cynthia Erivo on the red carpet for the Los Angeles Philharmonic’s Homecoming Concert & Gala held at Walt Disney Concert Hall on Saturday (October 9) in Los Angeles.

The two stars were joined by Skylar Astin, Lake Bell, Herbie Hancock, Helen Hunt, Michelle Rodriguez, Retta, and Maria Valverde for the event.

Artistic Director Gustavo Dudamel kicked off the 2021-2022 season with the concert, and the concert also marked the first time the orchestra performed in 579 days.

The program featured a performance from Cynthia and pianist Seong-Jin Cho, and the world premiere of an LA Phil-commissioned work for orchestra by Gabriela Ortiz called Kauyumari.

Proceeds from the LA Phil Gala will support music education programs, bringing the joy of music and music-making into the lives of 150,000 children and families each year.

Rachel Bloom attends the Paley Center For Media’s 2019 PaleyFest Los Angeles panel for her show Crazy Ex-Girlfriend at the Dolby Theater on Wednesday night (March 20) in Los Angeles.

The star was joined by her co-creator Aline Brosh McKenna, as well as stars Gabrielle Ruiz, Donna Lynne Champlin, Scott Michael Foster, Vella Lovell, Pete Gardner, and Kathryn Burns.

Tracee Ellis Ross takes the stage as she is honored by her Black-ish on-screen daughter Yara Shahidi at the 5th Annual Women Making History Brunch on Saturday (September 17) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The 43-year-old actress was honored alongside fashion designer Rachel Zoe, actress Abigail Breslin, and entrepreneur Toni Ko.

The National Women’s History Museum, Glamour Magazine, and Lifeway Foods held the brunch to honor the achievements of women and generate awareness of the Museum and the importance of preserving women’s history.
