Soap operas are renowned for their drama and constantly twisting stories. But did you know that they are also a breeding ground for some of Hollywood’s biggest stars?

So many A-list actors have brought characters to life on some of the most beloved sudsers over the years.

For many of them, it was near the start of their career. Some of them made history in their role on the soap opera – like the actor who played the first openly gay teen on daytime TV. Others have gone on to find incredible success in blockbusters.

We did some digging and were able to round up 30 examples of famed actors who have starred on soap operas.

There are a few Oscar winners on this list, several musicians and, overall, a couple of big surprises!

Love stories on all of our favorite soap operas are usually riddled with drama, and they aren’t all built to last.

However, the sets of these sudsers are a great place for actors to meet their one true love. In fact, over the years, many costars have gotten together in real life.

Like the characters they play, they don’t all stay together. We were able to round up 15 soap opera couples who are currently together in real life in 2024.

The list includes one couple that’s been engaged for two years, one who welcomed their first child just a few months ago and another that will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary later this year!

Kelly Ripa is talking Madonna!

The 53-year-old Live With Kelly & Mark co-host was the special guest during the 65-year-old Queen of Pop’s final night at Madison Square Garden during the Celebration Tour on Monday (January 29) in New York City.

Like the other celebrity guests on tour, Kelly was pulled up in front of the crowd to help judge her backup dancers’ vogueing skills during the “Vogue” section of the tour.

Sharon Stone opened up about one of her dating rules after Kelly Ripa tried to set her up with her 26-year-old son Michael.

The 65-year-old Basic Instinct icon sat down for an interview with the 53-year-old TV host on her Let’s Talk Off Camera podcast.

During the chat, Kelly revealed that her sons Michael, 26, and Joaquin, 20, had a crush on Sharon.

Though she said that the pair were “very dichotomous in their personalities,” Kelly emphasized that they agree on “the hotness of Sharon Stone.” As the conversation continued, Kelly tried to hook her son up with the screen star, prompting Sharon to reveal the minimum age of a man she’d date.
