Donald Sutherland Communicates From Beyond The Grave In Netflix's 'Mr. Harrigan's Phone' Trailer

Donald Sutherland finds a way to communicate from beyond the grave in the newly released trailer for Netflix’s Mr. Harrigan’s Phone.

The 87-year-old Forsaken star appears in the thriller, which is based on a short story by Stephen King, alongside the likes of Jaeden Martell, Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Joe Tippett, Colin O’Brien, Cyrus Arnold, Thomas Francis Murphy and Peggy J. Scott.

Here’s a synopsis: When Craig, a young boy living in a small town (Martell) befriends Mr. Harrigan, an older, reclusive billionaire (Sutherland), the two begin to form an unlikely bond over their love of books and reading. But when Mr. Harrigan sadly passes away, Craig discovers that not everything is dead and gone and strangely finds himself able to communicate with his friend from the grave through the iPhone in this supernatural coming-of-age story that shows that certain connections are never lost.

Netflix's 'Mr. Harrigan's Phone' Gets First Look Photos

Netflix just released the first look at their upcoming new movie Mr. Harrigan’s Phone.

Based on a short story by Stephen King, it was directed and written by John Lee Hancock and produced by Ryan Murphy, Jason Blum and Carla Hacken.

Here’s a synopsis: When Craig, a young boy living in a small town (Jaeden Martell) befriends Mr. Harrigan, an older, reclusive billionaire (Donald Sutherland), the two begin to form an unlikely bond over their love of books and reading. But when Mr. Harrigan sadly passes away, Craig discovers that not everything is dead and gone and strangely finds himself able to communicate with his friend from the grave through the iPhone in this supernatural coming-of-age story that shows that certain connections are never lost.

Mr. Harrigan’s Phone premieres October 5 on Netflix.

Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Tom Sturridge & More Step Out For World Premiere of 'The Sandman'

Kirby Howell-Baptiste adds some drama with an accentuated Elizabethan-esque collar for the premiere of her new Netflix series, The Sandman, held at BFI Southbank on Wednesday (August 3) in London.

The 35-year-old actress joined many of her co-stars on the black carpet event including Tom Sturridge, Gwendoline Christie, Vanesu Samuny, Niamh Walsh, Donna Preston, Joely Richardson, Vivienne Acheampong, Ferdinand Kingsley, and Sanjeev Bhaskar.

Author of the book series, Neil Gaiman, and EP/creator Allan Heinberg were also spotted at the event.

The Sandman centers on Dream (Sturridge), who, upon escaping after decades of imprisonment by a mortal wizard, sets about to reclaim his lost equipment.

The series will debut on Friday, August 5 on Netflix.

'The Sandman' Stars Share Sneak Peek of Netflix Series at San Diego Comic-Con 2022

The Sandman is coming!

The highly anticipated Netflix adaptation of Neil Gaiman‘s comic book series is set to arrive on the streamer on August 5, and the cast is providing a new look at the upcoming show.

During a panel at the 2022 San Diego Comic-Con over the weekend, the cast of the show – including Tom Sturridge, Vivienne Acheampong, Patton Oswalt, Jenna Coleman, Mason Alexander Park, Gwendoline Christie, Boyd Holbrook, Kyo Ra, Kirby Howell-Baptiste and showrunner Allan Heinberg – provided a new sneak peek of the show.

Gemma Arterton & Cruella's Kirby Howell-Baptiste Join Disney+'s 'Culprits'

Gemma Arterton and Kirby Howell-Baptiste are the latest stars to join Disney+‘s upcoming series, Culprits.

The heist series was created and will be directed by J Blakeson and will also star Eddie Izzard, Niamh Algar, Kamel El Basha, Tara Abboud, Ned Dennehy and Kevin Vidal, according to Deadline.

Culprits follows what happens after a heist, when the crew have gone their separate ways, but are being targeted by a killer one-by-one.

More details about Gemma‘s character have been unveiled, too. She’ll play Dianne, a member of a heist crew which is being targeted one-by-one by a killer after each went their separate ways.

Principal photography on the show will be begin this week.

The trailer for Silent Night has dropped!

Silent Night follows parents Nell (Knightley) and Simon (Goode) who have invited their closest friends to join their family for Christmas dinner at their idyllic home in the English countryside. As the group comes together, it feels like old times – but behind all of the laughter and merriment, something is not quite right. The world outside is facing impending doom, and no amount of gifts, games or Prosecco can make mankind’s imminent destruction go away. Surviving the holidays just got a lot more complicated.

The film is in theaters and on AMC+ on December 3.
