Kirsten Dunst, Kodi Smit-McPhee, and Benedict Cumberbatch gather around Jane Campion at the premiere of their new film, The Power Of The Dog, during the 2021 New York Film Festival at Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center on Friday (October 1) in New York City.

The trio of stars and director hit the red carpet following a Q&A panel about the new film, which has premiered at both the Venice Film Festival and in Toronto.

Also seen at the premiere of the film were Cinematographer Ari Wegner, and Benedict‘s wife, Sophie Hunter.

You can watch the first trailer for the movie, which will debut on Netflix on November 17, here.

If you missed it, Benedict recently opened up about the decision to have straight actors playing gay roles in the film.

FYI: Kodi wore a Dior suit, Hirotaka earring, Christian Louboutin boots, and an Emanuele Bichocchi ring to the premiere. Kirsten wore Fred Leighton jewelry.

Benedict Cumberbatch and wife Sophie Hunter are enjoying a night out!

The 45-year-old actor and the 43-year-old opera director stepped out for The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures Opening Gala held on Saturday evening (September 25) at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles.

Also stepping out for the event was Benedict‘s The Power of the Dog co-star Kodi Smit-McPhee, who looked cool in an all white suit.

The Power of the Dog is already getting tons of awards season buzz! The movie will hit select theaters on November 17 and will debut on Netflix on December 1. Watch the trailer here!

FYI: Benedict is wearing a Giorgio Armani tux. Kodi is in a Dior tux, Dr. Martens shoes, Hirotaka earring and Emanuele Bicocchi ring.

So many stars stopped by the Variety Studio at the 2021 Toronto Film Festival!

Some of the famous faces in attendance at the studio – presented by Canada Goose – included The Power of the Dog‘s Benedict Cumberbatch and Kodi Smit-McPhee, The Forgiven‘s Jessica Chastain, Mothering Sunday‘s Josh O’Connor, Dear Evan Hansen‘s Julianne Moore and Amandla Stenberg, Last Night in Soho‘s Krysty Wilson-Cairns and Edgar Wright, Dune director Denis Villeneuve, Montana Story‘s Owen Teague and Haley Lu Richardson, and more.

Later that night, Benedict stopped by the premiere of his film The Electrical Life of Louis Wain in Toronto, Canada and posed with some of the cast and crew including writer/director Will Sharpe. See the photos in the gallery!

Benedict Cumberbatch and Kodi Smit-McPhee step out in sharp suits for the premiere of their new movie, The Power of the Dog, during the 2021 Toronto Film Festival in Canada on Friday (September 10).

The two actors met up with producer Roger Frappier on the red carpet before speaking to reporters about the movie.

After the screening, several members of the press praised the film, and highlighted both Kodi and Benedict‘s performances in the flick.

Critic Sean Donovan wrote, “The cast of POWER OF THE DOG is universally brilliant, but best in show is Kodi Smit-McPhee. Heart breakingly vulnerable, a queer sissy lost in straight macho hell, but fascinatingly steely. Takes real risks with clinical detachment and quiet horniness- Peter is a trip #TIFF21.”

Meanwhile, Jordan Ruimy said that both performances were Oscar-worthy.

The 25-year-old Aussie actor was in town to promote his new movie, Netflix’s Jane Campion-directed The Power of Dog, which world premiered to a four-minute standing ovation at the Venice Film Festival. Kodi Smit-McPhee suits up to save the world in this still from his upcoming movie, 2067.

Here’s the movie’s summary: By the year 2067, Earth has been ravaged by climate change and humanity is forced to live on artificial oxygen. An illness caused by the synthetic O2 is killing the worlds’ population and the only hope for a cure comes in the form of a message from the future: “Send Ethan Whyte”.

Ethan (Smit-McPhee), an underground tunnel worker, is suddenly thrust into a terrifying new world full of unknown danger as he must fight to save the human race.

2067, also starring Ryan Kwanten, is out in theaters, On Demand and digital on October 2.
