20+ Famous Actors Who Starred in 'Wicked' After Kristin Chenoweth & Idina Menzel Opened the Show

The Broadway musical Wicked is celebrating its 20th anniversary TODAY (October 30) and we decided to look back at 20 famous actors who appeared in the show after Kristin Chenoweth and Idina Menzel opened the musical.

Wicked had its official opening night at the Gershwin Theatre on Broadway back on October 30, 2003.

In addition to Kristin and Idina, there were some recognizable faces in the original cast.

20 years later, Wicked has been performed in over 100 cities around the world and has grossed more than $5 billion in ticket sales. The musical is finally being made into a movie, which will be released in late 2024.

Broadway actress Lilli Cooper just celebrated the opening night of her new play The Cottage and she was asked about her former co-star Ethan Slater while on the red carpet.

Lilli was joined by co-stars Eric McCormack, Laura Bell Bundy, Alex Moffat, Nehal Joshi, and Dana Steingold at the opening night performance of The Cottage on Monday (July 24) in New York City.

Director Jason Alexander and writer Sandy Rustin also joined them on the carpet.

The Cottage is “an outrageous tale of sex, betrayal, and desire as one woman decides to expose her latest affair to both her husband — and to her lover’s wife. The true meaning of fate and faith, identity and infidelity, love and marriage are all called into question as a surprising and hilarious web of secrets unravels in this ridiculously funny romantic comedy.”

While on the red carpet, Lilli was asked to comment on her former SpongeBob SquarePants: The Broadway Musical co-star Ethan Slater‘s new rumored relationship with Ariana Grande.

Broadway's 'Legally Blonde' Cast Reunites for 'Omigod' Parody to Tell People to Sanitize!

The original Broadway cast of Legally Blonde – The Musical is reuniting for a PSA to remind people to sanitize during the ongoing health crisis!

The Delta Nus – Laura Bell Bundy (Elle Woods), Annaleigh Ashford (Margot), Leslie Kritzer (Serena), and Asmeret Ghebremichael (Pilar) – filmed a parody of the musical’s opening number “Omigod You Guys.”

In the video, Elle hops onto a FaceTime call with her Delta Nu sisters to remind them to sanitize during the pandemic.

The video was released on the 13th anniversary of the show’s opening night.

Laura Bell Bundy Confirms She Has Coronavirus

Laura Bell Bundy is opening up about her positive COVID-19 diagnosis.

The 38-year-old actress, known for roles in Broadway productions including Hairspray and Legally Blonde, spoke out about her diagnosis on Wednesday (March 25).

“I have Corona Virus. Going live on Instagram today at 1:30pm to answer any questions you may have about my symptoms and how I’m taking care of myself. Please please stay home, take care of yourselves. God Bless,” she captioned the video of her explanation.

“Do not be alarmed. I am okay. I am taking everything in stride. I am taking all the nutritional supplement that have been recommended by my doctor. I have been taking herbs for a while as well. What I wanted to do is explain to you some of the symptoms that I have,” she said in the video.

Many celebrities are coming forward with their positive coronavirus diagnosis to encourage social distancing.

Barrett Foa Reunites with Laura Bell Bundy Amid Exciting Casting News!

NCIS: Los AngelesBarrett Foa and Legally Blonde: The Musical‘s Laura Bell Bundy pose together on the red carpet at the opening night performance of The Play That Goes Wrong at Center Theatre Group’s Ahmanson Theatre on Wednesday (July 10) in Los Angeles.

If you didn’t know, the two actors starred together in the L.A. production of Sweet Charity last summer!

Other stars at the opening night included Moana‘s Auli’i Cravalho, Broadway star Sierra Boggess, and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend co-stars Vincent Rodriguez III and Pete Gardner. You can catch the show through August 11.

It was just announced that Barrett will be leading a new production of the acclaimed play Angels in America at the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis. He will be playing the role of Prior Walter, who was recently played on Broadway by Andrew Garfield.

The St. Louis production of Angels in America will have back-to-back marathon performances of both parts and will run September 4 through October 6.

Laura Bell Bundy & Husband Thomas Hinkle Welcome First Child!

Laura Bell Bundy just gave birth to her baby boy!

The 38-year-old Tony-nominated actress and her husband welcomed their son Huck on Monday afternoon (May 20) in Los Angeles.

Laura took to her Instagram to share the happy news.

Huck Hinkle was born today May 20th at 3:15pm pacific. 7 lbs. 21.5 inches. He’s perfect. We are so blessed,” Laura wrote.

She continued, “It was a doozy! @thomhinkle Was the perfect husband. I was an insane person and avoided pain meds.. he was so supportive. We are both in love with our little man!”
