'Legends of Tomorrow' Will Lose Brandon Routh & Courtney Ford in Season 5

Brandon Routh and Courtney Ford, who are married in real life, have announced that they will be exiting their series DC’s Legends of Tomorrow during the upcoming fifth season.

While Brandon, who plays Ray Palmer/Atom, has been a series regular from the beginning of the show, Courtney joined in season three as Nora Darhk and was promoted to regular in season four.

Just like in real life, Brandon and Courtney are a couple on the show.

Brandon and Courtney have been invaluable members of the Legends family,” series executive producers Phil Klemmer, Grianne Godfree and Keto Shimizu said in a statement to Deadline. “They have always brought a level passion and collaboration to their characters and to the show — both on and off the screen – that we deeply admire and for which we are eternally grateful.”

The reason for the departure is said to be a creative one as their characters’ storylines will be wrapped.

“I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to bring the big-hearted and humorous Ray Palmer to life for our fans over the last 5 years, but unfortunately, his storyline is pointed in another direction,” Brandon said in a statement. ” I’m saddened to see Ray’s journey end for now but wish my Legends family well.”

Courtney added, “Nora Darhk is very close to my heart. If it were my choice, I’d play her for years to come. But I understand that stories run their course, and I’m grateful for the time I did have bringing Nora to life on Legends of Tomorrow.”

Here's the 'Titanic' Reunion You Were Never Expecting

Two stars from Titanic are reuniting on screen – and it’s not who you’re thinking.

Billy Zane, who of course played Caledon Hockley in the 1997 blockbuster film, will be guest-starring on DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, according to EW.

This will reunite him with his co-star Victor Garber – aka Mr. Andrews – who stars in the CW superhero series as Dr. Martin Stein.

Billy is set to play Barnum & Bailey Circus founder P. T. Barnum.

“Obviously, we couldn’t resist putting Victor Garber and Billy Zane back on screen for the first time since the Titanic,” executive producer Phil Klemperer told the mag. “But I’ve wanted to bring Billy onto Legends every since I saw him in a friend’s comedy pilot. I’m not sure that people know how funny Billy is.”

Speaking of Billy, he’s also in amazing shape at 51 years old!

The CW Renews 'Jane The Virgin,' 'Supergirl,' 'Supernatural' & Four More Series!

The CW Network just picked seven of its shows for another season.

Jane the Virgin, Arrow, The Flash, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl, and Supernatural are all renewed.

“Over the past several seasons, The CW has built a schedule of proven performers, from our lineup of DC superheroes, to critically acclaimed comedies, to sci-fi dramas,” Mark Pedowitz, President of The CW, said in a statement. “Early pickups of these seven series now allow our producers to plan ahead for next season, and gives us a solid base to build on for next season, with original scripted series to roll out all year long.”

There’s not word on The 100, iZombie, Frequency, No Tomorrow, The Originals, or Riverdale yet.

As previously announced, The Vampire Diaries and Reign will both come to an end this year.
