Carrie Underwood and Miranda Lambert are among those announced to perform at the 2022 CMA Awards!

The 56th Annual CMA Awards will be hosted by Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning live on Wednesday (November 9) on ABC and will stream the next day on Hulu.

Kelly Clarkson, Carly Pearce, Jimmie Allen, Kelsea Ballerini, HARDY, Marcus King, and Luke Bryan are also scheduled to perform at the awards show. Additional performers will be announced in the coming weeks.

The broadcast will open with a star-studded tribute to Country Music Hall of Fame member Loretta Lynn, who passed away earlier this month.

Miranda Lambert, the most-nominated female artist of all time, with three nominations this year including CMA Entertainer of the Year, will perform her song “Geraldene” from her CMA Album of the Year-nominated Palomino.

“This year’s slate is impressive, with some nominees logging historic milestones while others are just getting started,” Sarah Trahern, CMA chief executive officer, said in a statement. “No matter what stage in their career, they each bring a unique voice and unforgettable story to life, showing that Country Music is stronger than ever! We look forward to honoring them this November.”

The nominations for the 2022 Country Music Association Awards were revealed in September.

Country legend Loretta Lynn has passed away at the age of 90.

Her family has confirmed her passing, saying in a statement, “Our precious mom, Loretta Lynn, passed away peacefully this morning, October 4th, in her sleep at home at her beloved ranch in Hurricane Mills.” She passed in her sleep.

Loretta had a decades-long career and was known for hits including “Fist City” and “The Pill,” among so many more. She is in the Country Music Hall of Fame and has 51 Top 10 hits during her 60 years in the industry.

Country music superstars Loretta Lynn and Willie Nelson both confirmed that they have received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine!

Loretta announced she and her daughter Peggy Lynn had been vaccinated in an Instagram post on Sunday (January 17).

“Well, I bundled up and Peggy Jean and I rolled out of Hurricane Mills so I could get this vaccine,” she wrote. “I’m sure glad to get it and am sure ready to put Covid in the rear view mirror! And I enjoyed the mom daughter time, too!”

Meanwhile, Willie went to a drive-thru clinic in Texas with wife Annie to receive his shot.

Annie told Rolling Stone, “He was bragging yesterday after he got it that he didn’t even have a sore arm. Now, today, of course his arm is sore. We’re both just a little tired. I don’t know if we wouldn’t be tired anyway, but we’re gonna do what they said and let the vaccine do its job.”
