Some former Hairspray stars stepped out to check out the national tour’s opening night in Hollywood!

Ricki Lake, Maddie Baillio, and Garrett Clayton all walked the red carpet for the opening night celebration on Tuesday (May 2) at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.

For those who don’t know, Ricki played Tracy Turnblad in the original 1988 film version of Hairspray and Maddie played the role in NBC’s live production in 2016. Garrett played Link Larkin in the NBC production!

Other special guests at the opening night included Lance Bass, Frankie Grande, Bobby Berk, Jodie Sweetin, Dustin Milligan, Tess Holliday, Todrick Hall, James Charles, Ian Paget, Daniel Franzese, and Shangela.

RuPaul’s Drag Race star Andrew Levitt (aka Nina West) is starring in the production as Edna Turnblad alongside newcomer Niki Metcalf as Tracy. You can catch the show at the Dolby Theatre through May 21. Get tickets now!

Maddie Baillio is opening up about her health and wellness journey over the past two years!

The 26-year-old actress, who is best known for playing Tracy Turnblad in NBC’s production of Hairspray Live! in 2016, has lost around 150 pounds since 2020.

Maddie revealed in a new interview with People that she has lost “more than half” of her previous weight. She says that her transformation began after filming the movie Cinderella, in which she played one of the step-sisters.

Camila Cabello stuns on the red carpet while attending the premiere of her new movie Cinderella on Monday (August 30) at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles.

The 24-year-old singer is making her acting debut in the movie and this marks her first movie premiere as an actress!

Camila was joined at the premiere by co-stars Nicholas Galitzine, Billy Porter, Idina Menzel, Maddie Baillio, and James Corden, as well as the film’s writer and director Kay Cannon.

Make sure to see what Camila was up to earlier in the day before she had to get ready for the red carpet.

The new movie musical will be premiering on Amazon Prime Video on September 3.

The evil stepsisters have been cast for the upcoming Cinderella movie!

Hairspray Live actress Maddie Baillio and Charlotte Spencer are joining Camila Cabello in the new retelling.

“Stick with me as I attempt to compose myself and a caption. I’m very pleased to announce I’ll have the honor of bringing *tricky stepsister, Malvolia, to life!! 🤯 Shoutout to my team of badass women (and John and Michael, equally amazing). Is it ok to call Idina Menzel mom? momma? mommy?” Maddie announced on Instagram.

Maddie and Charlotte join Idina Menzel, who will portray the evil stepmother. Billy Porter will play the Fairy Godmother.

It was recently announced that Pierce Brosnan joined the cast as The King, the father to Nicholas Galitzine‘s Prince Robert.

The stars of Dumplin’ – Georgie Flores, Danielle Macdonald, Odeya Rush, Bex Taylor-Klaus, and Maddie Bailio – pose for a fun photo while attending an Ugly Christmas Sweater Party with Forever 21 on Friday (December 7) at Cha Cha Lounge in Los Angeles.

The cast members were joined by Julie Murphy, the author of the book “Dumplin’,” and RuPaul’s Drag Race star Ginger Minj, who appears in the movie.

Dumplin’ was released on Netflix that same day and you can stream it now!

Dove Cameron and Famous in Love‘s Georgie Flores have joined Dumplin with Jennifer Aniston.

Deadline reports that the flick will focus on Willowdean (Danielle Macdonald), nicknamed Dumplin, a confident, plus-sized teen who, to spite her beauty pageant queen mom (Aniston), enlists in a local pageant.

What starts as an impulsive one-day protest snowballs as Will inadvertently becomes the inspiration for a ragtag group of teenage outcasts joining the pageant.

Luke Benward, Maddie Baillio, Bex Taylor–Klaus and Ginger Minj will also star in the movie.

Kristin Chenoweth and Dove Cameron sandwich in their much taller co-star Jennifer Hudson while attending the Hairspray Live! For Your Consideration event held at the Saban Media Center on Friday (June 9) in North Hollywood.

The ladies were joined at the event by their co-stars Maddie Baillio, Garrett Clayton, Ephraim Sykes, Shahidi Wright Joseph, and original Hairspray star Ricki Lake.

The cast of the NBC live special is hoping to secure some Emmy nominations for the production!
