Claire Danes and Mandy Patinkin get serious as they film in a park on Tuesday afternoon (December 20) in New York City.

The 37-year-old actress and her co-star bundled up as they braved the cold while filming scenes for the upcoming season of their hit show Homeland.

Homeland is set to return for its sixth season on January 15 on Showtime.

Over the summer, it was announced that the show is already renewed for a seventh and eighth season!

The first footage from the upcoming sixth season of Homeland has been released and it is getting us so excited for the new episodes to air!

The new season is getting a change in location as the action will now be taking place in New York, where Carrie Marthison (Claire Danes) has begun working to provide aid to Muslims living in the U.S.

Season six will tackle the after effects of the U.S. presidential election, with the entire season taking place between election day and the inauguration. It’s a strange, transitional time in the halls of government filled with anxiety and different competing interests, where a very fragile and complex transfer of power takes place between the outgoing president and the incoming president-elect.

Rupert Friend, F. Murray Abraham, Elizabeth Marvel, and Mandy Patinkin also star in the new season.

The 37-year-old actress was joined at the event by her husband Hugh Dancy, as well as Homeland co-stars Mandy Patinkin and Miranda Otto.

Claire is nominated this evening for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series. She is also nominated for Outstanding Drama Series as a producer on Homeland.
