Stars Who Regret Their Roles in Movies & TV

Not every actor likes to see themselves on the big screen – but some don’t even like to remember that they participated in a production altogether.

Over the years, many different stars have revealed in various magazine interviews and through assorted podcast and TV appearances that they don’t always love the movie and TV roles they took on in the past…even if the roles might be some of their most iconic and memorable works to date.

Sometimes, the stars have doubts about their performance. Or, they had poor experiences with their co-stars or directors. And in other cases, they just decided that the script wasn’t all that good looking back. In any case, they’ve all since come out and said they don’t necessarily love their appearances in certain films and TV shows.

Mark Wahlberg is putting his new physique on display!

The 49-year-old Oscar-nominated actor has gained a lot of weight in the last three weeks for his role in the upcoming movie Father Stu. He captioned the before and after photos on Instagram, “From this 3 weeks ago, to this, now. Thanks to @chef_lawrence_d cooking.”

This is Mark‘s first time back on set since the passing of his mother, Alma, last week. She sadly died at the age of 78.

Mark was pictured riding in front of a church, and appeared to have trimmed down the mustache he had days ago on set. He wore a striped shirt, and was taking instructions from a crew member about the motorcycle while preparing to shoot the scene.

The movie is being directed by Rosalind Ross, and is a biopic about boxer-turned-priest Father Stuart Long, which Mark‘s been trying to get made for at least six years.

He also revealed that he’s planning to put on a substantial amount of weight for the role.

Alma Wahlberg, Mother of Mark & Donnie Wahlberg, Dies at 78

Alma Wahlberg has sadly died.

The mother to Mark and Donnie Wahlberg passed away after battling illness at the age of 78, her sons confirmed on Instagram on Sunday (April 18).

“My angel. Rest in peace,” Mark captioned a photo of his mother.

“I’m so blessed to have been brought into this world by, raised by, taught by and set on my life’s path by, such an amazing woman. My mom Alma’s joy for life, love and people — combined with a pride in her humble beginnings and refusal to forget where she came from — undoubtedly shaped me into the man that I am,” wrote Donnie.

“I’ve often said, if you like anything about me, I got it from Alma. I say that, because it’s true. She was, without a doubt, the most loving human being I’ve ever known.”

Alma was a mother of nine, who starred on the A&E series Wahlburgers, which followed the family’s efforts to start a burger restaurant. She worked as a hostess and greeter, and previously worked as a nurse’s aid and bank clerk. Donnie previously opened an Italian restaurant, calling it Alma Nove, a reference to his mom and her nine kids.

Our thoughts are with Alma Wahlberg‘s loved ones at this difficult time.

We have sadly lost all of these stars in 2021.

Mark Wahlberg Plans To 'Sleep In' Until 6 AM After Wrapping His Newest Movie

Mark Wahlberg is making some changes to his daily routine.

The 49-year-old actor opened up about his routine as it is right now on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, explaining that he still has a 2:30 AM call time.

“I’m just getting busier and busier, less and less time in the day to get everything done,” Mark shared. “It started when I was in Europe, I was overseas and I’d come home to visit and by the time the family went to bed, I’d be up for the rest of the night…I’d usually go to bed about 5 and wake up about 12 then work out and do all my stuff.”

However, Mark does have plans after wrapping up the movie he’s working on now in LA, and they include sleeping in.

“When I finish this movie in Los Angeles, I’m going to start getting back to a normal schedule, wake up at like 6 a.m.,” he joked, “like normal people and sleep in. All that fun stuff.”

Mark first made headlines about his insane daily routine back in 2017 and had to clear up this big rumor about it the next year.

Mark Wahlberg Shares His Plan to Gain 30 Pounds for His Latest Role

Mark Wahlberg is starting a new diet and exercise regime!

The 49-year-old actor has been preparing for his new role as a boxer-turned-priest in the film Father Stu and discussed his busy schedule during a virtual appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Thursday (April 8).

Mark told host Jimmy Kimmel that the upcoming film requires a pretty drastic transformation.

“After we do the boxing scenes, I get to put on as much weight as possible over the course of the film, so I’m challenging myself to put on 30 pounds in the next six weeks,” Mark explained.

The actor, who’s known for his toned physique, said he was looking forward to taking a break from his intense workout routine and strict diet.

“They want me to do it as healthy as possible and I’m like ‘Dude, I’ve been on such a regimen for so long, I just want to eat everything in sight,’” the actor said. “I want to go bakeries. I want to go to Denny’s. I want to get pancakes. I want to get everything I can possibly get my hands on.”

When Jimmy asked what meal he’s planning to kick off the new routine, Mark replied, “(I’ll hopefully start) with a 20-piece chicken nugget and 20-piece hot wings from Kentucky Fried Chicken with a six-pack of beer.”

“Why not start with a bang? I might need a porta-potty too, but you know what, I’m ready to go,” he joked.

Mark once revealed which role he regretted taking.
