Tom DeLonge Publicly Addresses His Blink-182 Replacement Matt Skiba After Returning to the Band

Tom DeLonge is expressing his thanks.

The 46-year-old rocker shared a message on Thursday (October 13) following his return to Blink-182 after a seven year absence.

The guitarist reached out to Matt Skiba, who replaced him during his absence.

“I sent this to Matt personally, but itโ€™s important for the world to know that I honor him. Thank you, @matttskiba,” he began.

Blink-182's Quarantine-Themed 'Happy Days' Video Will Give You All the Feels - Watch!

Blink-182 has released their uplifting new music video for “Happy Days,” and it will make your quarantine feel a lot better.

The band – Mark Hoppus, Travis Barker, and Matt Skiba – dropped the visual on Thursday (April 9).

“Happy Days” is featured on the guys’ album NINE, released in September 2019.

In it, they jam out from their own homes alongside clips of fans – including some famous ones such as Machine Gun Kelly and Jackass‘s Steve-O – revealing their quarantine activities, including online classes, Zoom happy hours, and more.

The band also pays tribute to healthcare workers with videos of doctors and nurses.

“Thank you to everyone who helped make this video. Stay home. Stay Safe,” Blink-182 captioned it.

Blink-182 has dropped their new album!

The band – Mark Hoppus, Matt Skiba, and Travis Barker – just released their latest album NINE.

NINE is the band’s eighth studio album and consists of 15-songs written by the band. Their last album California was released back in 2016.

Next month, Blink-182 will be returning to Las Vegas for their Kings of the Weekend residency at the Pearl Concert Theater.

“I Really Wish I Hated You” is the latest single off of the band’s upcoming album NINE, which they will be releasing on September 20th.

Blink-182 Was 'Locked Down' in Hotel Following the El Paso Shooting

The guys of Blink-182 were told to stay at their Texas hotel following the shooting in El Paso.

Mark Hoppus took to Twitter on Saturday (August 3) to tell fans that he and fellow band mates Travis Barker and Matt Skiba were told by their security team to stay in the hotel after a gunman opened fire at a Walmart not far from from they mall they were scheduled to make an appearance at.

“We are locked down in our hotel in el paso. over the intercom system they just announced that there are reports of another active shooter directly across the street at a location different from the first shootings,” Mark wrote.

He continued: “We were leaving breakfast when our security texted that there was an active shooter at the mall we were headed to. saw dozens of police cars on the freeway and surface streets. helicopters. we got back to the hotel and turned on the news to see what was happening.”

Blink-182 Premiere New Single 'Bored to Death' & Announce Summer Tour - Full List Of Dates Here!

Blink-182 is back with their brand new single “Bored To Death“!

This is first release for the band – including original members Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker and newbie Matt Skiba, as Tom DeLonge exited the group last year – in nearly five years. It will be included on their forthcoming album California, which is due out on July 1st!

Along with the new single release, Blink-182 have announced that they will be hitting the round this summer on their A Day To Remember Tour. The massive trek kicks off on July 22nd in San Diego and wraps up with dates at Irvine Meadows September 29th and the Forum October 1st.
