Henry Cavill opened up about his James Bond audition during a recent interview.

If you were unaware, the 40-year-old Man of Steel actor was in the running to play the iconic spy in 2006′s Casino Royale. The role instead went to Daniel Craig, who brought 007 to life until 2021′s No Time to Die.

In fact, Henry made it so far into the audition process that he was the second choice.

While on SiriusXM’s The Spotlight with Jessica Shaw with Argylle director Matthew Vaughn, Henry reflected on losing the role. He also learned a surprising way that his attempt helped him in the industry.

The stars of the highly anticipated movie Argylle stepped out for the world premiere event in London!

Henry Cavill, Dua Lipa, and more were on the red carpet at the premiere on Wednesday (January 24) at the Odeon Luxe Leicester Square in London, England.

Also in attendance were co-stars Bryce Dallas Howard, Sam Rockwell, Bryan Cranston, Ariana DeBose, John Cena, Samuel L. Jackson, Sofia Boutella, Rob Delaney, and Jing Lusi.

Director Matthew Vaughn was joined by wife Claudia Schiffer, who carried her cat Chip in a backpack. The cat stars in the movie as Alfie!

Henry brought his girlfriend Natalie Viscuso and John posed on the carpet with wife Shay Shariatzadeh.

Henry Cavill and Bryce Dallas Howard are promoting their new movie Argylle!

The two actors joined their adorable furry co-star Chip the Cat at the Argylle special experience hosted by Universal Pictures, Apple Original Films, and MARV on Monday (January 22) in London.

Director Matthew Vaughn was also in attendance.

In Argylle, Bryce plays Elly Conway, who is “the reclusive author of a series of best-selling espionage novels, whose idea of bliss is a night at home with her computer and her cat, Alfie. But when the plots of Elly’s fictional books—which center on secret agent Argylle and his mission to unravel a global spy syndicate—begin to mirror the covert actions of a real-life spy organization, quiet evenings at home become a thing of the past.”

The film also stars Dua Lipa, Ariana DeBose, Samuel L. Jackson, Sofia Boutella, Bryan Cranston, John Cena, and more.

Argylle opens in theaters on February 2.

Halle Berry was reportedly misled about the scope of her role within 2006′s X-Men: The Last Stand, according to director Matthew Vaughn.

The 57-year-old actress brought the weather-controlling mutant Storm to life in four movies with the X-Men franchise, starting in 2000 and ending with 2014′s Days of Future Past.

The Last Stand was directed by Brett Ratner after Matthew dropped out of the role. During a recent appearance, he opened up about his decision to give up the job.

Gemma Arterton shows off her shiny dress on the red carpet at the premiere of her new movie, The King’s Man, held at Cineworld Leicester Square on Monday (December 6) in London, England.

The 35-year-old actress joined her co-stars Ralph Fiennes, Rhys Ifans, Charles Dance, Tom Hollander and Harris Dickinson, as well as director Matthew Vaughn at the event.

Screenwriter Karl Gajdusek was also spotted there, alongside Claudia Schiffer, Alixandra von Renner and Jason Fuchs.

The King’s Man is set in the early years of the 20th century, where the Kingsman agency is formed to stand against a cabal plotting a war to wipe out millions.

The film will be out on December 22.

Djimon Hounsou, Harris Dickinson, director Matthew Vaughn, and Ralph Fiennes pose for a photo while attending a panel for The King’s Man during New York Comic Con on Thursday (October 3) in New York City.

The stars opened up about their new movie, which is a prequel to the Kingsman franchise.

Ralph explained why he decided to sign on for the film.

“I enjoyed the first Kingsman films, and very much respected the clever balance of relationship and action that Matthew established,” he told the crowd (via THR). “I thought it was an unusual and original spin on the British spy theme. I was flattered and delighted when Matthew proposed this prequel to the story. I hope that, when you see the film, you will see there is a richness to the way that the Kingsmen intelligence agency started.”

Matthew decided to make the movie because he was “watching a lot of the Oscar movies and thinking, I never want to watch any of these movies again. I wanted to do a love letter to the movies I grew up to, and especially The Man Who Would Be King.”

Channing Tatum and his wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum are picture perfect as they hit the orange carpet at the world premiere of his latest film Kingsman: The Golden Circle held at Odeon Leicester Square on Monday (September 18) in London, England.

The 37-year-old actor and his love Jenna, 36, were joined at the event by his co-stars Pedro Pascal, Mark Strong and Edward Holcroft.
