It’s a brand new race weekend for Formula One!

The grid and stands will be packed for Sunday’s race at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in Barcelona, Spain.

Max Verstappen is still on top of the leaderboard after last week’s win in Monte-Carlo, Monaco, with Sergio Perez, Fernando Alonso, and Lewis Hamilton, following just mere points behind him.

Max Verstappen & Sergio Perez Are Still Leaders Of The Pack Ahead of F1 Monaco Grand Prix - Full Formula One Leaderboard

The 2023 Grand Prix of Monaco is finally here!

After the Emilia-Romagna, Italy race was postponed due to extreme weather earlier this month, the Formula One drivers will be back in action this weekend in Monte Carlo, Monaco.

Sergio Perez, Charles Leclerc, Max Verstappen, Lewis Hamilton, and Fernando Alonso are leading the grid for this Sunday’s race.

F1 Driver Max Verstappen Hints He Might Leave Over Current Race Weekend Format

Max Verstappen has spoken out about the current race format for Formula One.

The 25-year-old Dutch driver for Red Bull Racing shared his thoughts about the current race formats.

As it stands right now, there is a first qualifier (Friday), which determines the start for the dash (on Saturdays), which then puts the starting lineup in stone for the Grand Prix (Sundays).

There’s also talk about adding an additional qualifying session for the “Sprints” in the season.

However, Max argues that adding that in might actually be too much.

F1 Champion Nelson Piquet Apologizes for 'Ill-Thought Out' Comments About Lewis Hamilton, Denies Racist Intent

Nelson Piquet is apologizing for his comments about Lewis Hamilton.

According to ESPN, the 69-year-old Formula One champion reportedly used a racial slur to describe Lewis while blaming him for a collision with Max Verstappen, who is dating his daughter Kelly, at last year’s British Grand Prix.

Lewis addressed the situation on Twitter, writing that “these archaic mindsets need to change.” Several teams and drivers also issued statements in support of the seven-time world champion.
