On Friday (January 27), it was announced that the 55-year-old actress and Pen15 star/co-creator Maya Erskine will be starring in the upcoming limited series adaption of the novel The Perfect Nanny.

Donald Glover and Maya Erskine are still putting in work on Amazon Prime Video’s Mr. & Mrs. Smith reboot.
The stars were captured on set of the series on Monday (October 10) in New York City, and they seemed to channel their warring characters by dressing in contrasting colors.
Donald opted for a white turtleneck and matching pants while Maya wore black. The duo stood close to each other on the sidewalk and appeared to be listening intently.
They were spotted working on the project earlier this summer, and Donald showed off his muscles in a fitted tank top at the time.
This summer Amazon added a few more cast members to the series, which is based on Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt‘s 2005 release of the same name.
Donald will play Brad‘s character John and Maya is taking on Angelina‘s character Jane. She replaced another actress in the role back in April.

Several stars have joined the cast of the upcoming Mr. & Mrs. Smith series!
On Wednesday (June 29), Variety revealed the three actors that have joined the cast of the upcoming Amazon Prime Video series starring Donald Glover and Maya Erskine.
The upcoming series is based on the 2005 movie of the same name and will follow John (Glover) and Jane (Erskine) hired by a mysterious spy agency, venturing into espionage, marriage, and learning to intimately navigate both.
Originally, Phoebe Waller-Bridge was going to play Maya‘s role, but she dropped out the project last year following creative differences with Donald, who co-created the series.
As of right now, character details for the new cast members are being kept under wraps.

The 38-year-old actor had a good laugh with some of the crew before getting back to filming with Maya Erskine on the upcoming Amazon pic.
According to reports, the film is a remake of the 2005 film that starred Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, with a new idea kickstarted by Donald.
The series was set to have Phoebe Waller-Bridge star opposite Donald, but she dropped out of the project over creative differences. Maya stepped into the role just a few months ago.
Earlier in the week, Donald was seen out with longtime love, Michelle White.

The popular Hulu series Pen15 is ending.
It was just announced that the comedy series, starring Anna Konkle and Maya Erskine as 13-year-old versions of themselves, is ending after the already-filmed season two.
The first part of season two premiered in September 2020 and the second half of the season will start streaming on Friday (December 3).
Pen15 is an R-rated “traumedy” set in middle school as it really happened in the year 2000. Anna and Maya play versions of themselves as thirteen year old outcasts, surrounded by actual thirteen year olds. In this world, seventh grade never ends and the pains of growing up are inevitable.

Anna Konkle and Maya Erskine are hitting the red carpet!
The Pen15 stars stepped out for the 2021 Emmy Awards at The Event Deck at L.A. Live in Los Angeles on Sunday (September 19).
Maya wore a blue and white gingham gown, while Anna opted for a mint green dress with silver heels and a matching silver bag.
Their show is nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series at this year’s event, alongside Black-ish, Cobra Kai, Emily in Paris, Hacks, The Flight Attendant, The Kominsky Method and Ted Lasso.

This year’s Emmy Awards is being hosted by Cedric the Entertainer and is airing right now on CBS and the Paramount+ streaming service. The Creative Arts Emmys were given out last weekend and you can see who won awards here.
