Entertainment Weekly is getting ready to launch its annual LGBTQ issue and JustJared.com can exclusively reveal the cover stars!

Neil Patrick Harris, Ruby Rose, Janet Mock, Anderson Cooper, Wilson Cruz, and Melissa Etheridge will be featured on the cover of the upcoming issue, on-sale on June 7.

EW has long supported the LGBTQ community through the lens of entertainment and the mag will celebrate its cover stars and mark 2019’s historic gay pride month at an invite-only event hosted by Netflix and Cadillac at New York City’s Stonewall Inn in early June.

This is an exciting time for Ruby as she is the first openly gay lead of a live-action superhero show with her recently picked-up CW series Batwoman. The trailer debuted this week and it’s going to be a great show!

Janet is a producer, writer and director for the FX series Pose – making history as the first trans woman of color to write and direct an episode of television – and the cast of the show covered last year’s LGBTQ issue.

Steven Spielberg, founder of USC Shoah Foundation – The Institute for Visual History and Education, and his wife Kate Capshaw presented Tom, 62, and Rita, also 62, with the Institute’s 2018 Ambassadors for Humanity Award.

Also in attendance was Tom Ford,
Martin Short who hosted, and Melissa Etheridge who hit the stage for a special performance at the event. “We don’t know what’s going to happen [on election day],” Tom said during his speech, “but we do know that we have an engine, a motor, that gives us the guide to join in the mission of Shoah Foundation and form a more perfect union.”

Tom and Rita are champions of many vital efforts, they have been steadfast supporters of USC Shoah Foundation for more than two decades, helping to further the Institute’s mission to develop empathy, understanding and respect through eyewitness testimony.

Melissa Etheridge is opening up about smoking weed with her family.

The 55-year-old singer, who started using cannabis when she was going through chemotherapy, is trying to break the stigma around the drug.

Melissa revealed that she even smokes with her adult children, 20-year-old Bailey and 18-year-old Beckett.

“I have smoked with my older two. It was funny at first, and then they realized, it’s a very natural, end-of-the-day [thing]…And it brings you much closer. I’d much rather have a smoke with my grown kids than a drink,” she explained.

Melissa added, “My children have a very clear understanding of cannabis,. When I hold it without shame or confusion, then they can understand it as simple as if I was pointing to a bottle of Percocet and said, ‘That’s Mama’s medicine.’ You take the naughtiness out of it, and it’s not something that kids run to.”

Melissa Etheridge sings an original song called “The Fixer Blues” about Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt‘s divorce proceedings on Watch What Happens Live! on Wednesday (October 5) in New York City.

The 55-year-old entertainer, who was on the show with Kelly Clarkson, made some comments about Angelina and Brad earlier in the week. Melissa revealed that Angelina‘s “fixer” contacted her about the comments to do damage control.

“I haven’t spoke to Brad in forever,” Melissa said. “Every time I say something it gets turned around and twisted and all of a sudden I’m saying something about [Angelina] … so I thought I would do what I do best, and I wrote a song about it today.”

Melissa Etheridge revealed that Brad Pitt could have been the sperm donor for her two children with former partner Julie Cypher!

“Well actually, [Brad Pitt] was such a good friend of mine, and we did consider it,” the 54-year-old singer-songwriter told Australia’s Studio 10. “And yet, I looked and I saw how badly he wanted children and I thought, ‘I don’t want to share this with someone who really, badly wants children because my children don’t need another parent – they have two.’”

“Of course, my teenagers now are like, ‘I could have had Brad Pitt [as my dad]!’ My son said, ‘I could’ve been amazingly handsome!’” Melissa continued jokingly.

“It’s one of the reasons why David Crosby and his wife are so perfect – because they had children,” Melissa continued (David ended up being the sperm donor of kids Bailey and Beckett). “They were looking to do this as a gift. And my children are lovely and gorgeous anyways.”
