Fans of The Big Bang Theory will be happy to hear this news – the show has been renewed for two more seasons!

The five original stars of the series – Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco, Johnny Galecki, Simon Helberg, and Kunal Nayyar – are taking a pay cut for the additional seasons so that their co-stars Melissa Rauch and Mayim Bialik can get raises.

The original five have been earning $1 million an episode for the past three seasons. They will now be earning $900,000 an episode, according to THR.

Melissa and Mayim previously were earning $175,000 an episode and they are likely to be bumped to $400,000 per episode.

While The Big Bang Theory is a very costly show at $10 million per episode, with a majority of the expenses going to pay the cast, it is the number one scripted series on television in both viewers and the coveted ad demos.

The cast of The Big Bang Theory clearly has each other’s backs.

The CBS show’s five originals stars – Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco, Johnny Galecki, Simon Helberg, and Kunal Nayyar – are reportedly taking a big pay cut to allow co-stars Melissa Rauch and Mayim Bialik to get raises.

According to Variety, they agreed to take a $100,000 cut in their $1 million-an-episode salaries for the upcoming 11th and 12th seasons in order to free up $500,000 for Melissa and Mayim.

The extra $250,000 each will bring the ladies’ salaries up to the 450,000-an-episode range.

Big Bang is reportedly really close to closing a two-year renewal deal with CBS.

Kaley Cuoco had some words for co-star Jim Parsons at the 2017 SAG Awards.

The Big Bang Theory co-stars ran into each other on the red carpet during an interview on Sunday (January 29) in Los Angeles.

It was there that Kaley learned Jim would not be sitting with the CBS cast, who is up for for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series.

Instead, he is sitting at the table for Hidden Figures, who is nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.

“Do you hear this? He just moves right into the Hidden Figures table. OK! This is news to me, if you can’t tell,” Kaley said.

Also in attendance were their other co-stars Melissa Rauch and Mayim Bialik.

Congratulations are in order for Robert Downey Jr. and Sofia Vergara!

The 51-year-old Avengers actor and the 44-year-old Modern Family actress were both honored tonight at the 2017 People’s Choice Awards held at the Microsoft Theater on Wednesday (January 18) in Los Angeles.

Robert took home the award for Favorite Action Movie Actor, and Sofia snagged the award for Favorite Comedic TV Actress.

Tyler Perry was also honored tonight – the actor won the award for Favorite Humanitarian, presented to him by Kristen Bell.

Other winners tonight included the cast of The Big Bang Theory, which was named Favorite Network TV Comedy. Kaley Cuoco, Johnny Galecki, Simon Helberg, Mayim Bialik, Melissa Rauch, and Kunal Nayyar were all on hand to receive the award.

“Well he has restraining order against me now,” the 28-year-old actress joked (via E! News), while attending the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and InStyle‘s celebration of 2017 Golden Globe Awards Season at Catch LA in West Hollywood, Calif.

The season nine finale for CBS’ smash hit comedy series The Big Bang Theory aired on Thursday night (May 12) and now showrunner Steve Molaro is explaining the cliffhanger ending.

The episode had the introduction of Judd Hirsch as Alfred, the father of Johnny Galecki‘s character Leonard.

“It started a few months back when Johnny and Judd met [at NBC's James Burrows tribute] and started talking and Judd expressed an interest in playing Leonard’s father. We thought he was amazing as Alfred. We started wondering how and why he comes to town and what could be fun about that,” Steve told The Hollywood Reporter about how the new role came about.
