Lori Loughlin & Husband List Multi-Million Dollar Mansion Amid College Admissions Scandal

Lori Loughlin and husband Mossimo Giannulli are selling their Bel-Air estate.

The couple have quietly listed their mansion for $28,650,000, TMZ reports.

According to the site, sources say putting their home up for sale has nothing to do with the college admissions scandal or their upcoming trial.

Lori and Mossimo bought the 12,000 square-foot mansion back in 2015 for $13.9 million and listed it in 2017 for $35 million before taking it off the market in July 2018.

The couple have been laying low at their home after being accused of paying $500,000 to falsely say their daughters Olivia, 20, and Isabella, 21, are recruits to the University of Southern California crew team, even though neither of them ever participated in the sport.

Lori and Mossimo have both pleaded not guilty to their latest bribery charges, which they’ve also pled to previous charges of money laundering and fraud in connection to the nationwide college admissions scandals.

If they are found guilty, Lori and Mossimo face up to 50 years in prison and millions of dollars in fines.

Lori Loughlin & Husband Are Facing New Charge of Bribery

Lori Loughlin and her fashion designer husband Mossimo Giannulli are facing a new charge in connection to the college admissions scandal.

The couple were just indicted “on a charge of conspiring to commit federal programs bribery,” according to Variety.

Lori and Mossimo were already facing charged of conspiring to commit mail fraud and money laundering. There is a statute that makes it illegal to commit bribery in connection to a program that receives federal funds. The couple allegedly paid $500,000 to get their daughters admitted to the University of Southern California, a school that does receive federal funds.

“Today’s charges are the result of ongoing investigation in the nationwide college admissions case,” said Andrew Lelling, the U.S. Attorney in Boston. “Our goal from the beginning has been to hold the defendants fully accountable for corrupting the college admissions process through cheating, bribery and fraud. The superseding indictments will further that effort.”

The bribery charge comes with a potential maximum sentence of 10 years in prison, but it’s not likely that they’ll receive anywhere near that amount if found guilty.

Was Lori Loughlin's Daughter Olivia Jade Kicked Out of Sorority After Scandal?

Were Olivia Jade and Bella Giannulli booted out of their University of Southern California sorority following their mom Lori Loughlin‘s alleged college admissions scandal?

Besides stepping out for a Fourth of July party, the 19-year-old YouTuber and her sister, 20, have kept a low profile since their parents Lori and Mossimo Giannulli were arrested earlier this year for their alleged part in the scandal.

“The story regarding these two individuals is false,” a representative from Bella‘s sorority, Kappa Kappa Gamma, told People on Thursday (August 1). “Bella Giannulli remains an active member of the Delta Tau chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma.”

Olivia, however, was not kicked out because she was reportedly never a Kappa to begin with. “[She] did not complete the membership process,” the representative added.

Earlier this week, the sisters broke their social media silence to wish Lori a happy birthday. See Olivia‘s post here and Bella‘s here.

Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli have pled not guilty to all charges. Olivia Jade and Bella Giannulli have not been charged in connection with the scheme, and it is not certain whether they were aware of their parents’ alleged actions.

Lori Loughlin & Mossimo Giannulli's Lawyers Call College Admissions Charges 'Baseless Accusations'

Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli‘s legal team is proclaiming the couple’s innocence.

The law firm of Latham & Watkins is attempting to stay on the case in defense of the couple amid charges of their involvement in the nationwide college admissions scandal according to documents obtained by The Blast on Friday (June 28).

The government filed a motion to remove the firm from the case as a conflict of interest because they represent the University of Southern California in unrelated other cases. However, Lori and Mossimo want to keep them on the case.

Giannulli and Loughlin are innocent of the charges brought against them and eager to clear their names. And they believe their interests will be advanced most effectively by presenting a united front against the Government’s baseless accusations,” the lawyers said in the paperwork.

The firm also stressed that they take their “ethical obligations seriously” and believe there is “no material risk of a potential conflict as a result of its joint representation of Giannulli and Loughlin.”

“USC is not a party to this case, and its status as an alleged victim does not automatically trigger a conflict of interest requiring Latham’s withdrawal. Latham will avoid any direct adversity with USC by relying on co-counsel to handle any cross-examination of USC witnesses and any restitution proceeding in which USC’s financial interests are directly at stake.”

Lori is facing a charge of mail fraud in connection to the scandal, and her bail was set at $1 million in March.

A judge has not yet ruled on whether they can stay on the case.
