Nick Cordero's Wife Amanda Kloots Is Getting Through the Hardest Time of Her Life with Her Family's Help

Amanda Kloots shared a heartbreaking video that was made to document the last 95 days that her husband Nick Cordero was hospitalized for COVID-19 aka the Coronavirus. Nick tragically died on Sunday (July 5) at the young age of 41.

“How do you get through the hardest time in your life? Family,” Amanda posted, alongside the video.

She continued, “I woke up to this video my sister made for me. She titled it, The Silver Linings. I have always been lucky to have a family that loves to be together and to support each other. I’m even luckier to have Nicks family and extended family that are the same. This video captures these last 95 days. The love, the exhaustion, the bonds, the smiles, the song, the exercise, the hard work, the care, support and most of all love. They did all of this for Nick, Elvis and I- selfless time from their lives to be with us. In times of trauma, look for the silver linings. Spend time with family. Smile through the tears. Have faith when things seem impossible. Love one another.”

Nick Cordero Dead - Broadway Actor Dies at 41 After Long Battle with Coronavirus

Nick Cordero has sadly passed away after his battle with coronavirus.

Nick‘s wife Amanda Kloots announced on (July 5) that the Broadway actor had died after being the hospital for over three months as he battled the virus. He was 41-years-old.

“God has another angel in heaven now. My darling husband passed away this morning. He was surrounded in love by his family, singing and praying as he gently left this earth,” Amanda wrote on Instagram. “I am in disbelief and hurting everywhere. My heart is broken as I cannot imagine our lives without him.”

During his hospitalization, Amanda updated fans on his condition, revealing that during his battle he had been dealing with lung infections and had his leg amputated due to blood clotting issues. Nick had also lost a massive amount of weight due to muscle atrophy.

“Nick was such a bright light. He was everyone’s friend, loved to listen, help and especially talk,” Amanda continued. “He was an incredible actor and musician. He loved his family and loved being a father and husband. Elvis and I will miss him in everything we do, everyday.”

Nick and Amanda share a 1-year-old son, Elvis.

“To Nicks extraordinary doctor, Dr. David Ng, you were my positive doctor!” Amanda wrote. “There are not many doctors like you. Kind, smart, compassionate, assertive and always eager to listen to my crazy ideas or call yet another doctor for me for a second opinion. You’re a diamond in the rough.”

Amanda continued: “I cannot begin to thank everyone enough for the outpour of love , support and help we’ve received these last 95 days. You have no idea how much you lifted my spirits at 3pm everyday as the world sang Nicks song, Live Your Life. We sang it to him today, holding his hands. As I sang the last line to him, “they’ll give you hell but don’t you light them kill your light not without a fight. Live your life,” I smiled because he definitely put up a fight. I will love you forever and always my sweet man. ❤️”

Nick Cordero Will 'Most Likely' Need Double Lung Transplant

Nick Cordero‘s wife Amanda Kloots went on CBS This Morning to give an update on his health, and revealed he may need a double lung transplant.

“That is most likely the possibility,” Amanda said of the transplant. “A 99 percent chance that he would be needing that in order to live the kind of life that I know my husband would want to live.”

She added that “that is a long road away and a lot of things would have to line up in order for Nick to be a candidate.”

“They told me four times that he won’t survive. Sometimes even he won’t survive through the night, but he has,” Amanda added. “He’s fighting. I see it every day. Nick‘s doctor sees it. And as long as he’s in there and fighting, I’ll continue to fight with him.”

“He is doing okay. He’s stable,” she added. “He can still open his eyes, and when he is alert and awake, he’ll answer commands by looking up or down, yes or no questions. When I’m asking him, he will even try to smile or move his jaw. The nurses have all said that he answers my questions the best.”

Nick Cordero's Wife Gives a Day 85 Update, Says He's 'Profoundly Weak,' But Interacts with His Eyes

Nick Cordero has been in the hospital for nearly three months now and his wife Amanda Kloots just gave her “day 85″ update on his recovery from coronavirus.

The 41-year-old Broadway actor suffered devastating complications after battling the virus. He no longer is positive for COVID-19, but he has been dealing with lung infections and his leg had to be amputated due to blood clotting issues. She also revealed that he has lost a massive amount of weight due to muscle atrophy.

Amanda was finally able to visit Nick in the hospital the other day and now she makes frequent visits to see him in person.

Nick is profoundly weak. Imagine how you feel getting the flu and how it can take your body a full week to recover. Now imagine how Nicks body feels, all that he has gone through and how long it will take him to recover. This will take time, a long time,” Amanda wrote on Instagram.

She continued, “He interacts with his eyes, answering questions by looking up for yes and down for no. When he is alert he can also move his jaw. I have been doing passive physical therapy on him to help in any way I can to get him stronger, to keep his joints moving and engage his muscles. He cannot move his body yet. He has had some minor blood infections that are causing little blood pressure issues although those are under control. His vent settings are getting better and his numbers are trending in a better direction. He is relatively stable.”

“Is this defeating? Sometimes it is, I won’t lie. I wish I would walk into his room and he was able to give me a big smile and hold my hand. But instead of feeling defeated, I turn to feeling determined! I give him any and all energy I can. I tell him goals that the doctors would like to see. I insist that he CAN do this! People may look at me like I’m crazy. They may think that I don’t fully understand his condition because I’m smiling and singing in his room everyday. I’m just not going to mope around and feel sad for myself or him. That is not what Nick would want me to do. That is not my personality. I fight and I will continue to fight for Nick every single day. With God on our side anything can happen!” Amanda concluded.
