The trailer for Love in Taipei has been released!
Ashley Liao, Ross Butler, and Nico Hiraga star in the Paramount+ movie adaption of the young adult novel Loveboat, Taipei by Abigail Hing Wen.
Here’s the movie’s synopsis: Ashley stars as Ever Wong, “whose summer takes an unexpected turn when her parents surprise her with a trip to Taipei for a cultural immersion program. Ever is surprised to discover that she hasn’t signed up for homework and history lessons, but instead for a summer-long free-for-all the locals and other students call “Loveboat.” It quickly lives up to its name when Ever finds herself trying not to fall for two attractive but wildly different boys who are vying for her attention, while at the same time finding the courage to defy her parents’ high expectations and pursue her true passion: dancing.”

The new movie Rosaline, a twist on the classic Romeo and Juliet story, will be released on Hulu next week and the cast just stepped out for a red carpet premiere!
Kaitlyn Dever and Isabela Merced walked the carpet together on Thursday night (October 6) at the El Capitan Theater in Hollywood.
The ladies were joined by co-stars Sean Teale, Minnie Driver, Christopher McDonald, Spencer Stevenson, Nico Hiraga, and Mercedes Colon, along with director Karen Maine, and screenwriters Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber.
Rosaline is a clever and comedic twist on Shakespeare’s classic love story “Romeo & Juliet,” told from the perspective of Juliet’s cousin Rosaline (Dever), who also happens to be Romeo’s recent love interest. Heartbroken when Romeo (Kyle Allen) meets Juliet (Merced) and begins to pursue her, Rosaline schemes to foil the famous romance and win back her guy.
The movie will premiere on Hulu on October 14. Watch the trailer now!

The Weeknd‘s upcoming HBO drama series The Idol has officially been ordered to series and there are eight new cast members that were just announced!
The 31-year-old music superstar, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye, will star in the series and he co-created it with Euphoria‘s Sam Levinson and Reza Fahim.
The Idol, set against the backdrop of the music industry, centers on a self-help guru and leader of a modern-day cult, who develops a complicated relationship with an up-and-coming pop idol. The series will be directed by The Girlfriend Experience‘s Amy Seimetz and it will be filmed in and around Los Angeles.
Lily-Rose Depp was previously announced as one of the stars and now eight more cast members have been announced.

Olivia Wilde suited up for the premiere of Booksmart!
The 35-year-old actress and director stepped out at the event on Monday night (May 13) at Ace Hotel in Los Angeles.
She was accompanied by the film’s stars Kaitlyn Dever and Beanie Feldstein as well as executive producer Will Ferrell.
They were also joined by the rest of the cast including Billie Lourd, Molly Gordon, Noah Galvin, Eduardo Franco, Victoria Ruesga, Lisa Kudrow, Austin Crute and Nico Hiraga.
Other attendees included Olivia‘s husband Jason Sudeikis, Beanie‘s brother Jonah Hill and Busy Philipps.
Booksmart follows two overachieving high school seniors on the eve of their graduation who realize that they should have worked less and played more. Determined not to fall short of their peers, the girls try to cram four years of fun into one night.
The film hits theaters on May 24th.
