Michael Phelps‘ son Boomer is cheering on his dad from the 2016 Rio Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The 31-year-old swimmer will compete in just a few moments in the men’s freestyle relay, and Boomer (and Michael‘s fiancee Nicole Johnson) shared a new photo on his personal Instagram to cheer on his pops. See the photo below!

“I’m ready to see some more fast swimming!!Go get em daddy!!! Go get em USA!!! #usa #rio2016,” the photo caption read.

Michael has won 18 gold medals, 2 Silver, and 2 Bronze at all of the Olympic events that he’s participated in over the course of several years.

The 31-year-old Olympic swimmer took his two-month-old baby boy for a swim in the pool.

“The little man loved the water today!! @boomerrphelps and I got some extra laps in today!! #mpswim,” he captioned the Instagram pic.

In case you missed the news, Michael has officially secured his spot for the 2016 Rio Olympics after finishing first in the men’s 200-meter butterfly qualifying round a few weeks ago.

He’s now the first American swimmer to head to five Olympic games!

Michael Phelps, 22-time Olympic medalist, has officially secured his spot for the 2016 Rio Olympics after finishing first in the men’s 200-meter butterfly qualifying round on Wednesday (June 29).

The 31-year-old swimmer is now the first American swimmer to head to five Olympic games!

At the qualifying event, Michael‘s fiance Nicole and their baby boy Boomer cheered him on!

“#teamdaddy all day err day!! We LOVE you @m_phelps00 and we’re cheering super loud for you!! �’�,” she captioned on photo on Instagram.

“Boomer says what’s up y’all!!!” the 30-year-old Olympic gold medalist captioned the picture, in which his baby boy appears to be waving at the camera.

Michael Phelps is officially a dad to a little boy!

The 30-year-old Olympian and his fiancée Nicole Johnson welcomed their son Boomer into the world on Thursday night (May 5).

Michael took to his Instagram to make the official announcement about the birth and let everyone know mom and baby are healthy and happy.

“Welcome Boomer Robert Phelps into the world!!! Born 5-5-2016 at 7:21 pm !!! Healthy and happy!!! Best feeling I have ever felt in my life!!! @nicole.m.johnson and Boomer both healthy!!! #boomerphelps �”� @boonestudios,” he captioned an adorable Instagram photo holding the newborn.

The 30-year-old Olympic gold medalist was honored with the Male Athlete of the Year Award at the ceremony.

Michael recently opened up about expecting his first child.

“Pregnancy brain really does exist,” he told Us Weekly. “I thought that was just a myth! Pretty wild. We’re just doing what we always do, just supporting one another with everything. Nicole and I have had a long history and we’re just better than ever and I guess better now than we ever have been.”

Michael and Nicole‘s son is due in May 2016.

Nicole and Michael announced they were engaged earlier this year. They have been dating on and off since 2007.
