Sunisa Lee is taking some time off social media.
The Olympic gold medalist, who goes by Suni, opened up in an interview with reporters following her bronze medal win on the women’s uneven bars amid the 2020 Toyko Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.

Sunisa Lee – who goes by Suni - has won the gold medal in the Olympic women’s all-around gymnastics final on Thursday (July 29) in Tokyo, Japan!
The 18-year-old athlete became the fifth straight American female gymnast to win gold in the Olympics in this competition.
Suni scored a 57.433, beating Brazil’s Rebeca Andrade, who scored 57.298, and Russian Olympic committee’s Angelina Melnikova, who scored 57.199. Rebeca earned the silver and Angelina the bronze.
Earlier in the week, Suni, Simone Biles, Jordan Chiles and Grace McCallum all won the silver medal for the team final. Simone was originally supposed to compete in the all-around today, but she withdrew.

The 39-year-old former gold medal-winning Olympian posted a clip of an injury she sustained while competing in 1996 at the Atlanta Olympics to support the 24-year-old star on Tuesday (July 28) following her decision to withdraw from competing in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Justin Bieber can totally relate to Simone Biles‘ mental health decision.
The 27-year-old “Where Are U Now” singer posted a tribute to the 24-year-old gymnast following her decision to withdraw from the 2020 Tokyo Olympics amid high pressure to perform for Team USA.

“nobody will ever understand the pressures you face! I know we don’t know each other but I’m so proud of the decision to withdraw. It’s as simple as – what does it mean to gain the whole world but forfeit your soul,” he wrote.
“Sometimes our no’s are more powerful than our yes’s. When what you normally love starts to steal your joy it’s important we take a step back to evaluate why,” he continued.
“People thought I was crazy for not finishing the purpose tour but it was the best thing I could have done for my mental health!! So proud of you @simonebiles.”

It has been a whirlwind day for Simone Biles, who withdrew from the gymnastics team final competition during the Olympics this morning.
At the time she withdrew, the US Gymnastics organization said that the 24-year-old star gymnast had been suffering from a “medical issue.”
Later, Simone confirmed the reason why she stepped away from the event.
