Prince William Is 'Devastated,' Prince Charles Despaired Over Meghan Markle & Prince Harry's Interview

A royal expert is speaking out after talking to sources about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s sit down with Oprah Winfrey, Oprah with Meghan and Harry, which aired this past weekend.

Royal expert Katie Nicholl told ET, “William is devastated by this interview. Don’t forget that the Duchess of Cambridge [Kate Middleton] is being dragged into this whole saga and William will hate that and of course, relationship between father and son is of course at an all-time low.”

Katie continued, “I think that the idea that Kate’s being dragged into this will be upsetting for Kate who behind the scenes has tried really hard to be a peacemaker between William and Harry. She has been deeply saddened by the brothers’ falling out. Don’t forget she was incredibly close to Harry herself.”

Harry has said time is a healer and it is,” she added. “But I think there are so many raw emotions here, that it’s far too early to talk about any kind of family reunion.”

Harry was born in a very different role than William – he was born the spare, William the heir,” she continued. “William has always known what his duty and birthright has been. I’m sure there’s times when he’s resented the establishment he’s born into and there’s been times he’s kicked back at it. … There are times certainly when William has struggled with his birthright, but to suggest that he’s trapped in the institution, I don’t think it’s true and I don’t think it’s probably Harry’s place to say in any case.”

Meghan Markle's Dad Thomas Reacts to Member of Royal Family Commenting on Archie's Skin Tone

During Oprah with Meghan and Harry, Meghan Markle revealed that a member of the royal family inquired about what Archie‘s skin tone may have looked like when he was born.

Meghan said there were “concerns and conversations about how dark his skin might be when he’s born.”

This caused Oprah to say, “WHAT? There’s a conversation with you about how dark your baby is going to be?”

“Potentially, and what that would mean or look like,” Meghan said.

Thomas Markle went on Good Morning Britain this morning and was asked about this allegation.

“The thing about what color will the baby be or how dark will the baby be, I’m guessing and hoping it’s just a dumb question from somebody,” he said. “It could be somebody asked a stupid question rather than being a total racist.”

“I have great respect for the royals, and I don’t think the British royal family are racist at all,” Thomas said. “I don’t think the British are racist. I think Los Angeles is racist, California is a racist, but I don’t think the Brits are.”

Oprah did eventually reveal which two royals were NOT part of these conversations.

Meghan did speak about her relationship with her estranged father during the tell all.

Meghan Markle Answers Oprah's Questions About Her Right to Privacy in New Clip from Interview

Another clip from Meghan Markle‘s interview with Oprah Winfrey has been revealed.

Oprah asked the Duchess of Sussex about her expectations when it comes to privacy, but the clip wasn’t included in the broadcast that aired on CBS on Sunday night. OprahMag.com just debuted the clip online and you can read a recap below.

“I think everyone has a basic right to privacy. Basic. We’re not talking about anything that anybody else wouldn’t expect,” Meghan said.

Meghan then gave a great example of how any ordinary person would deal with privacy.

“If you’re at work and you have a photograph of your child on your desk, and your coworker says, ‘Oh, my gosh, your kid’s so cute. That’s fantastic! Can I see your phone so I can see all the pictures of your child?’ You go, ‘No. This is the picture I’m comfortable sharing with you,’” Meghan said. “And then if they double down and say, ‘No, but you already showed me that one. So you have to show me everything. You know what, I’m just gonna hire someone to sit in front of your house, or hide in the bushes and take pictures into your backyard, because you’ve lost your right to privacy…because you shared one image with me.’”

Meghan said that she’s comfortable sharing certain aspects of her life, just like others are comfortable sharing certain parts of their lives on social media.

“There’s no one who’s on Instagram or social media that would say, ‘Because I shared this one picture, that entitles you to have my entire camera roll. Go ahead and look through it.’ No one would want that. So it’s about boundaries. And it’s about respect,” she said.

Meghan says she’s never asked for complete privacy. She said, “They’ve created a false narrative. I’ve never talked about privacy.”

Meghan Markle's Half-Sister Samantha Responds to Comments Made About Her in Oprah Interview

Meghan Markle made comments about her half-sister Samantha in her interview with Oprah Winfrey and now she is responding.

Oprah asked about the “tell-all” book that Samantha is writing about her relationship with Meghan and the Duchess of Sussex shut down the idea that there would be any substance in the book.

“I think it would be hard to ‘tell all’ when you don’t know me,” Meghan said. “I grew up as an only child… The last time I saw her must have been at least 18, 19 years ago, and before then, 10 years before that.”

Meghan also claims that Samantha changed her last name back to Markle “only when I started dating Harry. So I think that says enough.”

Meghan Markle & Prince Harry's Secret Wedding May Not Be Recognized By the Church - Here's Why

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry‘s private wedding ceremony may not be recognized by the church.

The couple told Oprah during their tell-all interview that they were secretly married in a private ceremony three days before their televised formal nuptials at Windsor Castle.

“Three days before our wedding, we got married,” Meghan said, explaining that Archbishop of Canterbury performed the ceremony in the backyard. “No one knows this.”

“Just the three of us,” Prince Harry added.

According to TMZ, this detail means that the wedding may not be official in the eyes of the church.

A source told the outlet that in order for the marriage to be recognized, it must be solemnized by a member of the clergy in a church, or in a place specified in a special license, and it must take place in the presence of two witnesses.

Since the ceremony took place with only three people present, it seems like they may have been short one witness.

TMZ added that they had reached out to a representative at the Archbishop’s office and they said they don’t comment on personal or pastoral matters.

Body Language Expert Reveals When Meghan Markle Was 'So Scared' During 'Oprah with Meghan & Harry'

A body language expert is reading Meghan Markle‘s movements during her Oprah with Meghan and Harry interview segment.

The expert, Patti Wood, revealed to Marie Claire that the Duchess had the hardest time talking about one of the members of the royal family talking about the color of her son Archie‘s skin.

Meghan told Oprah there were “concerns and conversations about how dark his skin might be when he’s born.”

This caused Oprah to say, “WHAT? There’s a conversation with you about how dark your baby is going to be?”

“Potentially, and what that would mean or look like,” Meghan said.

“And you’re not gonna tell me who?,” Oprah responded.

“I think that would be very damaging to them,” Meghan said in response.

Patti spoke about this exchange and said, “It’s a seat adjustment, it’s symbolic of wanting to run away from the situation subconsciously. And then there’s this look of pure fear that crops across her face…There was a moment when [Oprah’s] trying to get her to pin down who said this about Archie skin color…And, she was so scared.”

Patti also spoke about the moment that Meghan spoke of having suicidal thoughts, saying, “She’s trying to suppress the memories of that horrible time. When she cried, they were real tears.”

Meghan and Harry both refused to name the person who spoke of Archie‘s potential skin color but Oprah later clarified which two members of the royal family were NOT part of that discussion.
