2019 just started and our favorite TV shows are about to return following the holiday hiatus, but some of these shows we’ll have to say goodbye to for good in the near future.

Some of the networks have announced that fan-favorite shows will be ending this year after their upcoming seasons.

While we have been prepared to say goodbye to shows like Game of Thrones and The Big Bang Theory for quite some time now, we only just found out recently that Elementary will be ending.

There likely will be more shows announcing their final seasons in the months to come.

On saying goodbye to her character Piper: “This is a huge part of my life. I was young. I was 27, just so little…What I hope for Piper is that she lives on in perpetuity. That she finds some freedom, some self-acceptance. It’s been really interesting playing a character that has not found any internal resting point. With a lot of gratitude, is how I’d like to say goodbye.”

On life after OITNB: “This is a huge new chapter. I have a few projects coming out this spring—Orion Pictures’ thriller The Prodigy, and the Film Arcade comedy Family. And then I think I’m going to just be very quiet for a minute and see what enters, as opposed to chasing it.”

The seventh and final season of Orange is the New Black will air on Netflix in 2019.

Orange Is The New Black is officially coming to an end.

The Netflix series will conclude with its seventh season, which will debut in 2019, the company announced on Wednesday (October 17).

“After seven seasons, it’s time to be released from prison. I will miss all the badass ladies of Litchfield and the incredible crew we’ve worked with. My heart is orange but fade to black,” said creator Jenji Kohan.

The announcement was paired with an emotional video message from the cast of Orange Is The New Black.

“Warning: This may make you cry. The Final Season, 2019. #OITNB,” the show tweeted.

Taylor Schilling‘s character is out of jail!

The 34-year-old Orange Is The New Black actress was spotted filming a scene on Wednesday (September 26) in New York City.

The make-up free star was seen wearing a colorful dress for the show’s upcoming seventh season. In the scene, her character Piper Chapman is finally released from jail and can be seen standing around a crowd of people walking by.

In the finale of Season 6, Piper was granted early release following a prison wedding with Alex (Laura Prepon).

The first trailer for Orange is the New Black‘s sixth season has finally debuted!

The new season is teasing a ton in store in the aftermath of the riot at Litchfield prison. It looks like the women are sent to a maximum security prison, where they are separated into different groups.

Piper (Taylor Schilling), Taystee (Danielle Brooks), Red (Kate Mulgrew), Suzanne (Uzo Aduba), Nicky (Natasha Lyonne), Cindy (Adrienne C. Moore), Gloria (Selenis Leyva), Blanca (Laura Gomez) and Frieda (Dale Soules) all appear in the trailer.

Orange Is the New Black is returning for season 6, and the first look at the season has been released.

The official Twitter account has posted a teaser video showing the devastation at a post-riot Litchfield.

In addition, at the end of the teaser, a release date of July 27 is announced.

Taylor Schilling, Laura Prepon, Danielle Brooks, Natasha Lyonne, Uzo Aduba, Yael Stone, Lea Delaria, and more are expected to be back for new episodes.
