Paul Simon is sharing some sad news with fans.

Several days after the release of his 15th studio album Seven Psalms, the 81-year-old singer-songwriter revealed a recent hearing loss in his left ear, admitting that the condition has him doubting that he’ll be able to tour again.

Paul Simon will be celebrated by some of the greatest entertainers in the music business during a CBS special, which is airing TONIGHT (December 21).

The legendary singer-songwriter is the honoree for Homeward Bound: A Grammy Salute to the Songs of Paul Simon.

The tribute will feature a star-studded lineup of Grammy-winning artists, former nominees, and more. Paul himself will also appear during the special!

Make sure to tune in on CBS at 9pm for the two-hour event. It will also be available for streaming on Paramount+.

Unfortunately, only one woman appears on the ranking for 2021 and that is Taylor Swift. We definitely hope to see more female stars make the list in 2022 and with some stars returning to touring this year, that is more likely to happen.

The ranking features many artists who sold their music catalogs and only a few of them made the list because of actual album sales in 2021.

The ranking features pretax income and does not account for fees for agents, managers, lawyers, etc.

'SNL' Announces Awkwafina & Seth Meyers as Upcoming Hosts - See Who's Performing!

Awkwafina and Seth Meyers are hosting Saturday Night Live!

The two stars were both announced as SNL hosts for the next two shows on Thursday (September 27) following the upcoming season premiere.

As previously announced, Adam Driver is hosting the premiere on Saturday (September 29), with Kanye West as the musical guest.

In addition, SNL also revealed the musical guests for each show: Travis Scott will perform during Awkwafina‘s show on October 6, and Paul Simon will perform during Seth‘s show on October 13.

Paul Simon Breaks Silence on Ex-Wife Carrie Fisher's Death

Paul Simon has paid tribute to his ex-wife Carrie Fisher following her untimely death at the age of 60.

The 75-year-old singer was married to Carrie from 1983 to 1984 and he wrote the song “Hearts and Bones” about their relationship. After their divorce, the exes remained close.

“Yesterday was a horrible day. Carrie was a special, wonderful girl. It’s too soon,” Paul said in a statement released on his Twitter account.

Paul is currently married to singer-songwriter Edie Brickell. They tied the knot in 1992 and have three children together.
