Terrence Howard and Paula Patton are set to star in upcoming flick .38, according to THR.
The duo have officially signed on to join the cast of the crime thriller, in addition to Mike Epps.
The film follows a rookie cop on the in St. Louis as he spends his first night on the job.
After a brutal killing occurs, he sees up close the bonds of loyalty, work and family that bind together the cops, both black and white.
The film is expected to begin production this May in Thomasville, Georgia.

The 41-year-old actress was seen braving the chilly temperatures outside while filming a drowning stunt scene in a huge water tank on Thursday (March 9) in Vancouver, Canada.
Paula was seen falling into the water, which thankfully was heated!
In the upcoming ABC summer series, Paula plays “Laura Price. She’s not crazy, but she knows that her daughter Serena is going to be murdered. She doesn’t know who the murderer is, or why she’s killed, but she knows exactly when it will happen, where and how. Despite this, all of her attempts to keep her daughter safe fail and Serena’s fixed, unmovable, terrifying fate keeps her directly in the path of her killer,” according to Variety.

Robin Thicke got to spend some quality time with his six-year-old son Julian amid his custody battle with wife Paula Patton.
The 39-year-old singer took his son to Nobu for a sushi lunch on Thursday (February 9). The father-son duo was joined by a monitor during their time together.
“Julian‘s favorite food is sushi, and so Robin took him to Nobu and they had a really fun lunch,” a source told People. “Afterwards, they went back to Robin’s house and played sports in the backyard.”
They “spent eight hours together and had a very, very good time. He wanted to do something extra special that he knew Julian would love.”

A judge has denied Robin Thicke‘s request to have unsupervised visits with his son, Julian, 6.
The 39-year-old singer’s legal team requested either “no monitor, a change in monitor or a ruling that said the monitor couldn’t make changes to the visitation,” according to People.
“Robin wants to spend as much time as possible with Julian, and he was upset because the monitor was trying to cut his visit time short, so his team went and filed to change to a new monitor, which was denied,” a source told the mag.
Robin‘s ex Paula Patton was given sole custody last month after she filed a domestic abuse restraining order, but Robin was later granted supervised visitation three days a week.
