Prince William has dropped out of a ceremony.
The 41-year-old Prince of Wales was set to honor his godfather King Constantine of Greece, but will no longer attend due to a personal matter, Kensington Palace said, via People.
He was set to do a reading at the service of Thanksgiving, which is taking place at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle on Tuesday (February 27).

The queen of the dragons met the future king of England!
Emilia Clarke was honored by Prince William with a Most Excellent Order of the British Empire medal on Wednesday (February 21) at Windsor Castle in England.
Both Emilia and her mother Jennifer received the medals in recognition of their work to support brain injury recovery care through their charity SameYou.
“From Westeros to Windsor, a real pleasure presenting @emilia_clarke and her mum Jennifer with their honours today for their charity work with @sameyouorg supporting brain injury recovery care 🎖️ Congratulations to all of today’s recipients!” Prince William’s social media team wrote on Instagram with a video, which you can watch below.
Emilia said, “To have an award like this… cherry on the cake. I’m going to get my photo taken because of this award. And people are going to say, ‘Why is this person, who we recognize, got this award?’ And we’re going to say, ‘It’s for brain injury recovery.’”
A photo of The Bear‘s Ayo Edebiri meeting Prince William is going viral for the face she is making during the encounter.
The photo was taken while Ayo was standing with fellow stars Phoebe Dynevor, Sophie Wilde, and Mia McKenna-Bruce.
The backstage moment happened while the four stars, who were all nominated for the EE Rising Star Award at the 2024 BAFTAs, got to meet the royal, who is the President of BAFTA.

The 41-year-old Prince of Wales sat next to Cate Blanchett while attending the awards show on Sunday evening (February 18) at Royal Festival Hall in London, England.
Kate is still recovering from her recent abdominal surgery, so she was unable to attend the show. Her and William usually are special guests at the BAFTAs every year!
Cate is likely going to be presenting one of the top awards of the night as she won Best Actress last year for her work in Tar. She’s a four-time BAFTA winner, previously winning for Elizabeth, The Aviator, Blue Jasmine, and Tar.
