Queen Letizia and King Felipe of Spain embody royalty as they arrive arm-in-arm for the 2020 Princesa de Asturias Awards ceremony held at the Reconquista Hotel on Friday evening (October 16) in Oviedo, Spain.
The married monarchs were joined at the event by his mother, Queen Sofia, and their daughters Leonor, Princess of Asturias, and Infanta Sofia.
Leonor, who is in line to become the queen of the country after her father, was seen wearing heels for the first time for the occasion.
The awards are named in honor of the Princess of Asturias and are in tribute to those who carry out scientific, cultural and humanistic values and work that form part of the universal heritage of humanity.
Just the day before, Felipe, Letizia, Sofia and Leonor were seen visiting ‘FPAbrica’, the Old Weapon Factory of La Vega.
The set of industrial buildings is hosting the cultural activities programmed for this year to tribute the winners from 2019.
