'The Bachelor' Producers Finally Address Online Hate Towards Rachel Lindsay; Call It 'Inexcusable'

Bachelor Nation has put out an official statement following the online hate directed towards Rachel Lindsay.

If you’re unfamiliar, Rachel has been on the receiving end of uncalled for comments by The Bachelor fans as she continued to call out racism on the show, and behind the scenes of it.

Rachel had even disabled her Instagram account amid the ongoing discussion regarding racism surrounding the show and Chris Harrison exiting the franchise after a series of controversial remarks.

Now, during tonight’s airing of The Bachelor, the show has spoken out about the situation.

“Rachel has received an unimaginable amount of hate and has been subjected to sever online bullying,” the statement read. “That is totally unacceptable. Rachel has been an incredible advocate for our cast and we are grateful that she has worked tirelessly towards racial equity and inclusion.”

Some fans, however, are not impressed with the statement, which comes two weeks after the hate messages towards Rachel started to heat up.

“Two weeks is a long time to craft this luke warm statement. I’d love to hear what steps are being taken from the ep’s to prevent further harassment and/or how you’re being more inclusive in all aspects of the show,” one fan wrote.

Another added, “Their lack of response for years is inexcusable…..”

The Bachelor producers have aimed to make the appropriate changes since the controversy. Here’s how…

Rachel Lindsay Deletes Instagram Amid Ongoing 'Bachelor' Controversy

Rachel Lindsay is stepping away from social media due to harassment from Bachelor Nation.

The former Bachelorette has disabled her Instagram account amid the ongoing discussion regarding racism surrounding the show and Chris Harrison exiting the franchise after a series of controversial remarks.

Rachel’s Higher Learning podcast co-host Van Lathan addressed her departure from social media in a video posted to his Instagram.

“She did it because that’s how much hate she’s getting from Bachelor fans who are spamming her with all kinds of rude and hateful things to say,” he shared.

“Y’all have got to get a f–king life. Seriously,” Van added.

Earlier this month, Rachel interviewed host Chris Harrison and they had a 14-minute conversation about current The Bachelor contestant Rachael Kirkconnell and the backlash over her past racist behavior.

Chris defended Rachael‘s decision to attend an “antebellum plantation themed ball” in 2018 and undermined points Rachel was making throughout the discussion.

He apologized on Instagram for his remarks and later said that he would be stepping away from the franchise.

Rachel also announced that she would be leaving Bachelor Nation as soon as her contract was over in a recent episode of her podcast.

Rachel Lindsay is speaking out in response to The Bachelor host Chris Harrison‘s decision to step away from the franchise for a “period of time” amid a racism controversy.

Chris‘ decision to step away from the show happened after he defended The Bachelor contestant Rachael Kirkconnell against claims that she had been racist in her past behavior. During the interview with Rachel Lindsay, he said that the “woke police” was out to get her and that there is a difference in how one behaves in 2018 vs. in 2021.

Chris later apologized for his words, but the damage was done and Rachel, a former star of The Bachelorette who now works for Extra, said that she is leaving the franchise when her current contract is over.

Now, Rachel is speaking out in response to Chris‘ apology and his announcement to take time away from the franchise.

Rachel Lindsay Is Done with Bachelor Nation, Will Not Renew Contract After Chris Harrison Controversy

Rachel Lindsay is slamming the Bachelor Nation franchise and says she’s done once her contract is over.

The 35-year-old reality star was previously the first Black Bachelorete back in 2017 and now she works as a correspondent for Extra.

Rachel interviewed host Chris Harrison this week and they had a 14-minute conversation about current The Bachelor contestant Rachael Kirkconnell and the backlash over her past racist behavior.

During the interview, Chris defended Rachael and constantly undermined the points that Rachel was making. He later apologized for perpetuating racism within the franchise.

Now, Rachel is speaking out about what happened this week.

'Bachelorette' Rachel Lindsay Doesn't Live With Her Husband Bryan Abasolo

Rachel Lindsay and Bryan Abasolo have an unconventional set-up that works for them at the moment.

The married Bachelorette couple opened up about their bicoastal living situation in an interview on Dr. Abs Healthcast podcast.

“I didn’t move to L.A. because I just love the city. You’re focusing on your practice and building it to a place you want it to be, and I am here in L.A. working for Extra and doing other things, and we’re doing this to eventually bring ourselves together,” Rachel said to her husband on the podcast.

“We know where we’re going, we know where we’re headed, and we know what we’re trying to build as Abasolos,” she continued.

“I can see from the outside looking in how it’s like, ‘Wow, when Rachel was on the show she talked about not wanting to put her career over her husband.’ But the thing is, I’m not putting my career over my husband. I’m putting my family first. Part of that is putting us in a position to succeed and put our family in the best position.”

“For me, I want you to go do your thing in L.A., I want you to be as successful as possible. You’re killing it right now, and I love it,” Bryan added.

Before going bicoastal, here’s what the couple did to celebrate their one year anniversary.

Rachel Lindsay Slams Becca Kufrin's Fiance Garrett Yrigoyen In New Interview: 'He's a Piece of S--t To Me'

Rachel Lindsay isn’t holding back about how she feels about Garrett Yrigoyen.

The former Bachelorette star opened up in a new interview on Everything Iconic With Danny Pellegrino about her feelings for Garrett, who is engaged to Rachel‘s podcast partner and friend, Becca Kufrin.

“I think he’s a piece of s***, and I have said to her, ‘I will not f*** with him’,” Rachel confessed.

She added that since his first comments involving police brutality and Black Lives Matter, “he has doubled down on his beliefs. This isn’t the first time he’s had problematic behavior.”

“When he was on the season, he had a history of liking things that were racist, sexist, homophobic, calling the Parkland students child actors, it was a lot,” Rachel recalled of Garrett. “So this is who this man is and he’s a piece of s*** to me.”

Rachel added, “This is going to make headlines. Maybe I’m causing problems.”

Last month, Garrett made headlines for his social media posts in support of the police following the death of George Floyd. Becca, then, stood by Garrett before having a big conversation with Rachel on their podcast.

Becca has since updated fans on where her relationship stands with Garrett.
