Garth Brooks Honors Randy Travis With Artist For A Lifetime Honor at CMT Artist of the Year 2021

Garth Brooks is paying tribute to Randy Travis!

The 59-year-old entertainer hit the stage to present Randy with the Artist For A Lifetime honor during the at the 2021 CMT Artist of the Year held on Wednesday night (October 13) in Nashville, Tenn.

“Randy Travis saved country music, in my opinion,” Garth shared back in 2019. “I don’t know of any artist who took a format and turned it 180 [degrees] back to where it came from and made it bigger than it was then.”

Chris Stapleton, Kane Brown, and Luke Combs were also honored at the event.

Randy‘s wife, Mary Davis, and Chris‘s wife, Morgane, were also on the red carpet, alongside Pentatonix‘s Kevin Olusola.

Randy Travis Gives Police Officer Special Christmas Surprise!

Randy Travis helped make a Christmas wish come true for a police officer in his Texas town.

The 57-year-old country star heard that Officer Keith Bartlett and his family had recently lost everything in a devastating house fire, including his prized guitars, and knew he had to help.

Randy had actually met the officer when he responded to a theft at their Texas ranch a few years earlier.

Along with his wife Mary, Randy decided to purchase a new guitar for Keith and surprised him at his police headquarters on Christmas day.

“I just know how important music is and what therapy it is, especially at a time like this,” Randy‘s wife Mary explained.

Keith added, “Surprised isn’t even the word for it. These are amazing people.”

Country Star Randy Travis Shocks Audience With First Performance Since Stroke - Watch!

Randy Travis gave fans the surprise of a lifetime when he performed for the first time since his debilitating stroke while at the Country Music Hall of Fame induction ceremony.

The 57-year-old country superstar was rendered unable to speak after the stroke in 2013 but showed his remarkable recovery by singing a portion of the hymn “Amazing Grace” while on stage.

After his wife Mary delivered a speech on his behalf she handed the mic off to Randy who smiled and began to sing, quickly joined by the entire audience.
