A list of the top 10 highest-paid music artists for 2021 has been released!

Unfortunately, only one woman appears on the ranking for 2021 and that is Taylor Swift. We definitely hope to see more female stars make the list in 2022 and with some stars returning to touring this year, that is more likely to happen.

The ranking features many artists who sold their music catalogs and only a few of them made the list because of actual album sales in 2021.

The ranking features pretax income and does not account for fees for agents, managers, lawyers, etc.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers are the latest stars to sell their song catalog!

The beloved band will be earning a huge payday for selling their music to Hipgnosis Songs.

Some of the other artists who have recently sold their songbooks include Bob Dylan, who sold his songwriting catalog to Universal Music Publishing for more than $300 million, and Stevie Nicks, who sold her music to Primary Wave for $100 million.

Jack Sherman, one of the former guitarists for the Red Hot Chili Peppers, has sadly passed away.

Sherman died at the age of 64, but not much is known about his cause of death at this time.

The band announced the sad news on early Saturday morning (August 22). They wrote, “We of the RHCP family would like to wish Jack Sherman smooth sailing into the worlds beyond, for he has passed. Jack played on our debut album as well as our first tour of the USA. He was a unique dude and we thank him for all times good, bad and in between. Peace on the boogie platform.”

Jack replaced founding band member and guitarist Hillel Slovak in late 1983. He played with the band until Slovak‘s return in 1985, though he continued to contribute to their music.

We’re sending our thoughts and condolences to Jack‘s loved one during this difficult time.

Post Malone and the Red Hot Chili Peppers are setting the stage ablaze!

The 23-year-old “Better Now” superstar and the “Otherside” rockers teamed up for a performance at the 2019 Grammy Awards on Sunday (February 10) at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

The performance included an acoustic rendition of Post‘s “Stay,” followed by “Rockstar.” The band later kicked in with “Dark Necessities,” with Post on guitar and vocals.

Post is nominated for Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance and Best Rap/Sung Performance.

FYI: Post Malone is wearing a custom Jimmy McBride suit designed by Catherine Hahn and Jimmy McBride, a BB Simon belt, Boot Star boots, studded by Topaz, and Angel City Jewelers diamonds.

Anthony Kiedis puts his muscular body on display while changing out of his wetsuit after a surf session on Saturday (January 28) in Malibu, Calif.

The 54-year-old musician and lead singer of the Red Hot Chili Peppers went shirtless and stood in the street in just his Calvin Klein underwear at one point!

Anthony and his band are currently touring around the country and it looks like he enjoyed his break from the shows with some fun in the sun.

The RHCP will be back on the road on Thursday with a show in Detroit!

James Corden has had something up his sleeves for months while filming Carpool Karaoke and Mariah Carey helped him out for a special holiday edition of the segment on The Late Late Show!

Mariah and tons of other stars who joined James in the car all sang her holiday classic “All I Want for Christmas is You” in an epic compilation.
