Robin Roberts receives the Sager Strong Award at the 2019 NBA Awards!

The 58-year-old broadcaster took the stage at the event, presented by Kia on TNT, at Barker Hangar on Monday (June 24) in Santa Monica, Calif.

Robin is the anchor of Good Morning America, and she was a sportscaster on ESPN for 15 years.

The Sager Strong Award pays tribute to the late TNT reporter Craig Sager.

During her speech, Robin told the crowd to “make your mess your message.”

In 2012, Robin Roberts was diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome, a bone marrow disease. She has been outspoken about her battle, urging donors to register.

Good Morning America‘s Robin Roberts sat down for an interview with Jussie Smollett, which aired on Thursday (February 14).

The interview is the subject of some controversy. Some apparent new information has been revealed regarding the case where police allegedly suspect Jussie paid two brothers to stage the crime. No official information has been released by police at this time, and all information being leaked has come from unnamed sources.

“When I sat down with Jussie it was Tuesday night [February 12] in Chicago, at the time to give his first account, publicly give his first account of what he said happened,” Robin said on the air on Monday (February 18). “At that time, on Tuesday, police officers were saying that his account was consistent, it was credible, and that he was being cooperative. This was all before the interview aired on Thursday, and then we found out about the brothers.”

If you don’t know, “the brothers” in question spoke out for the first time just yesterday.

Robin Roberts makes an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, airing on Monday (January 14), and dished all about her recent travels, journeying to Thailand and Vietnam over the holidays, and shares her motto for the new year.

“My life is serene in 2019,” the 58-year-old Good Morning America anchor told Ellen.

In addition, Roberts opened up about spending an entire day with former First Lady Michelle Obama: “We spent the day together in Chicago, went back to her old house, her old high school,” she said. “To see her light up when she’s around young people. When she went back to her old high school, and old dance class she had been in, and there was a poster of her when she was a dancer there… she’s just something so special.”

In another segment, Ellen and Roberts are joined by show DJ tWitch to play “Blanking News”, in which they must try to guess the missing words from unusual news headlines – Watch after the cut!

The former First Lady opened up about the experience in an interview on Good Morning America with Robin Roberts.

“I felt like I failed because I didn’t know how common miscarriages were because we don’t talk about them…we sit in our own pain, thinking that somehow we’re broken,” she explained.

“That’s one of the reasons why I think it’s important to talk to young mothers about the fact that miscarriages happen.”

The full interview will air during an ABC News special called Becoming Michelle: A First Lady’s Journey With Robin Roberts on Sunday, November 11 at 9 p.m. ET.
