Robin Roberts receives the Sager Strong Award at the 2019 NBA Awards!
The 58-year-old broadcaster took the stage at the event, presented by Kia on TNT, at Barker Hangar on Monday (June 24) in Santa Monica, Calif.
Robin is the anchor of Good Morning America, and she was a sportscaster on ESPN for 15 years.
The Sager Strong Award pays tribute to the late TNT reporter Craig Sager.
During her speech, Robin told the crowd to “make your mess your message.”
In 2012, Robin Roberts was diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome, a bone marrow disease. She has been outspoken about her battle, urging donors to register.
