During her appearance, Jane denied that she ever auditioned to play Phoebe Buffay on Friends (a role that went to Lisa Kudrow), but did reveal another iconic role that got away.

“In the ’90s, I auditioned for a movie [called] A League of Their Own in Chicago,” she said of the 1992 movie, directed by Penny Marshall.

Rosie O’Donnell ended up getting the part, but I auditioned. I had to play baseball and the whole thing. I didn’t get it. It was heartbreaking,” Lynch revealed.

She’s about to take on another role in an iconic series – find out which one!

In a preview, Rosie explained how her coming out wasn’t actually a big deal, considering that it happened immediately after the September 11 attacks.

“When I came out on TV after 9/11, it was like a blip, nobody even…I was surprised that people thought I was not gay. I went to a comedy club and I was doing stand-up and I’m like, ‘I’m gay. Listen, 9/11 happened, I’m gay. I’m telling you all, I’m gay. In case the buildings blow up again, I’m so, so gay,’ you know?” she explained in the episode.

Rosie recently weighed in on the backlash her friend Ellen DeGeneres has received in the public eye regarding her alleged behavior.

Rosie O'Donnell Weighs In on Ellen DeGeneres, Says She Has 'Compassion' for Her

Rosie O’Donnell, who hosted her own talk show from 1996-2002, is speaking out on Ellen DeGeneres‘ situation after she and her producers were accused of workplace toxicity.

“You can’t fake your essence,” Rosie said on Busy Philippspodcast “Busy Philipps Is Doing Her Best.”

“That’s why I have compassion for Ellen [DeGeneres], right?” she said. “I have compassion, even though, you know, I hear the stories and I understand. I think she has some social awkwardness.”

“You know how Ellen surprises everyone?” she said, “I’ve never done that show because I’m terrified she’s going to scare me and give me a heart attack.”

Rosie also spoke on what it is actually like hosting a talk show.

“[Hosting] wasn’t like anything close to real life,” she said. “You know, you get mass adulation from the multitudes every day like a shot of heroin in your arm. You get people clapping at your very existence and then telling you how you altered their life, and it’s a lot to take in. And when I stepped away, I knew that this was all I could take.”

If you missed it, Rosie recently told this celebrity to take his meds.

Rosie O'Donnell Tells Kanye West His Mom Would Want Him to 'Take Ur Meds'

Rosie O’Donnell has a message for Kanye West: “take ur meds.”

The 58-year-old actress and former talk show host took to Twitter to respond to one of Kanye‘s tweets where he listed the states where his name is on the Presidential ballot.

Rosie took to Twitter and responded, “ye – u must take ur meds – save urself – get balanced – if ur mom was here she would say that to u – with so much love …”

A Twitter user responded back, “she should have personally text him as a loving friend. This isn’t loving. She’s throwing shade,” and Rosie responded, “im trying to help him.”

Another celebrity also just responded to Kanye West on Twitter.

Leif Garrett Responds to Rosie O'Donnell's Claim That He Was Banned From Her Talk Show

Rosie O’Donnell said that actor and singer Leif Garrett was one of the five celebrity she banned from her talk show back in 1999.

Well, now Leif is disputing what she said.

“One guy, Leif Garrett, came with a fresh wound from a pipe that he used for crack. He sort of gnawed it out. So when I met him in the green room, he had a normal face and he came out a few minutes later and he had a huge red welt of burn from being in the green room those 20 minutes I didn’t see him. People who are that messed up shouldn’t be on TV,” Rosie said earlier in the week.

Now, Leif is firing back.

“No, that’s not even how it came close,” he told TooFab. “I don’t know if she’s got Alzheimer’s or doesn’t remember what happened, but it’s on YouTube. You can watch the clip on YouTube. She said I had a little burn on my face from using crack, which is so not true. First of all, I would never do anything like that.”

Rosie O'Donnell Reveals the Celebrity She Banned From Her Talk Show

Rosie O’Donnell revealed there was a list of about five celebrities who were banned from her talk show, which aired from 1996-2002.

During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Rosie was asked why stars got banned and she responded, “Sometimes it was just excessive drug use that was evident. Like cocaine on the side [of the nose] and they weren’t able to focus.”

“One guy, Leif Garrett, came with a fresh wound from a pipe that he used for crack,” she continued. “He sort of gnawed it out. So when I met him in the green room, he had a normal face and he came out a few minutes later and he had a huge red welt of burn from being in the green room those 20 minutes I didn’t see him. People who are that messed up shouldn’t be on TV.”

Leif Garrett is a singer and actor, and made an appearance on Rosie‘s show in 1999. In his 2019 memoir, “Idol Truth,” Leif admitted to drug use during that period of time. Leif was actually arrested two months after his appearance on Rosie‘s show for attempting to buy cocaine and heroin from undercover cops. Leif was also arrested in 2004, 2006 and 2010 on drug related charges. He is reportedly sober now.
