Spain's King Felipe Has A Sweet Moment With Queen Letizia During Pamplona Visit

King Felipe got some help from his wife, Queen Letizia, during their official visit to Pamplona on Friday afternoon (September 8).

The Spanish royals made their visit to the iconic city for the Commemoration of the 6th Centenary of The Privilege of The Union event, which celebrated the union of the three main boroughs which were united into Pamplona in 1423.

Ahead of their visit inside the cathedral of Santa María la Real to visit the Carlos III and Leonor de Trastámara’s mausoleum, Letizia put on her red scarf, which marked the occasion, and then turned to Felipe to help him put on his own.

Not rare between the two, Felipe and Letizia have been pictured before showing little public displays of affection like this.

Just recently, King Felipe revealed what his true net worth was as a new law was put in place by the Spanish government.

FYI: Queen Letizia wore a Sfera dress for the event, with Carolina Herrera heels.

Tales of queer love play a central role in fictionalized stories about royal families, such as Young Royals and, most recently, Red, White & Royal Blue. However, we rarely hear about real-life royals who are out members of the LGBTQ+ community.

Of course, there are reports about kings and queens in the past who had same-sex relationships. Take Queen Anne of Great Britain, for instance, who inspired the Oscar-winning movie The Favourite. However, there are not many modern examples that we can turn to.

We rounded up three modern-day royals who have openly discussed their sexuality. One is an extended member of the British royal family who is married to another man. Another is sometimes referred to as the first ever Prince to come out.
