Lena Dunham & Ruth Wilson to Develop 'Mob Queens' HBO Series

Lena Dunham and Ruth Wilson are embarking on a new project together.

The 35-year-old Girls actress and the 39-year-old The Affair star will be developing a limited series version of the Stitcher podcast Mob Queens with author Dennis Lehane, Variety reported.

Josh O'Connor Celebrates With Ruth Wilson & Iris Law at Bulgari's High Jewelry Gala

Josh O’Connor poses with Ruth Wilson inside of the BVLGARI High Jewellery Gala held at Kensington Palace earlier this week in London.

The two stars were joined by Bulgari ambassador Iris Law, as well as Mark Strong, Tom Felton, and Jessica Henwick.

The glamorous event was also attended by Honor Titus, Gia Coppola, Timothy Taylor, Sabine Getty and Faye Wei Wei, plus Julia Restoin Roitfeld, Victoria Magrath, Zara Martin, Flora and Timothy Vesterberg, Coco Konig, Bettina Looney and DJ Cuppy amongst others all flocking to the dance floor.

Professor Sarah Gilbert from the University of Oxford was also in attendance, paying tribute to Bvlgari’s significant philanthropic relationship with the university’s Jenner Institute through the brand’s Virus Free Fund.

The night afterwards, Ruth was seen at the premiere of The Lost Daughter during the BFI London Film Festival.

Ruth Wilson Dishes On Being Both Producer & Star of New Movie 'True Things'

Ruth Wilson rocks a cool look for the premiere of her new movie, True Things, during the 2021 BFI Film Festival held at BFI Southbank on Sunday (October 10) in London, England.

The 39-year-old actress was joined the flick’s director, Harry Wootliff, there.

During a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Ruth opened up about being a producer on the film, and revealed that is was a close collaboration for her and Harry.

“It was a really close collaboration between the two of us in terms of creating the character and deciding what the story was over a number of years,” Ruth stated. “I loved the experience because I’ve never worked that closely with a writer-director before where you feel like your story and the characters become truly yours together.”

Ruth added that she “was in the whole process from development through getting all the creative teams on board. Even up to the edit.”

“I think both of us are really aligned truly as to what Kate was feeling at every point. It was a truly collaborative experience.”

True Things follows a young woman living on the fringes of society who becomes intoxicated by a stranger who overwhelms her quiet life.

Ruth was seen in Venice promoting the movie last month.

Jessica Chastain Gives Off Vintage Vibes in Berry Jumpsuit in Venice

Jessica Chastain gives off retro vibes in a cranberry colored jumpsuit as she arrives at the 2021 Venice Film Festival on Sunday afternoon (September 5) in Venice, Italy.

Just the night before, the -year-old actress joined Oscar Isaac for the premiere of their new HBO series, Scenes From A Marriage.

Ruth Wilson and Maria Sharapova were also seen arriving on the island around the same time as Jessica, as they prepared to attend premieres later in the evening.

Maria is pictured in a Dior dress at the Illusions Perdues event. Ruth was seen at the Mona Lisa and the Blood Moon premiere.

Kate Hudson Plays With A Dog At The Premiere of 'Mona Lisa And The Blood Moon' at Venice Film Festival 2021

Kate Hudson crouches down on the red carpet to play with director Ana Lily Amirpour‘s dog at the premiere of Mona Lisa And The Blood Moon during the 2021 Venice International Film Festival on Sunday (September 5) in Venice, Italy.

The 42-year-old actress said her hellos to the cute canine on the red carpet before posing with Ana Lily, as well as co-stars Craig Robinson and Ed Skrein at the event.

Other stars seen at the premiere included Ruth Wilson and jury members Sarah Gadon and Virginie Efira.

Mona Lisa And The Blood Moon focuses on a girl with unusual powers, who escapes from a mental asylum and tries to make it on her own in New Orleans.

Ruth Wilson Steps Out for Venice Photo Call for 'True Things'

Ruth Wilson poses for photos while attending the photo call for her movie True Things during the 2021 Venice Film Festival on Saturday (September 4) in Venice, Italy.

The 39-year-old actress was joined at the event by co-star Tom Burke and the film’s director and co-writer, Harry Wootliff.

True Things “follows a young woman living on the fringes of society who becomes intoxicated by a stranger who overwhelms her quiet life.”

Ruth produced the movie with Jude Law and she opened up to THR about turning the Deborah Kay Davies novel into a film.

She said, “I was working on a play with Jude Law, and he gave me the book because he saw something in it. At the time — this was 2012 — while there were female-led stories, it didn’t feel like there was something like this: a truly subjective, really intimate, truly feminine lens into an experience like this.”

Ruth Wilson & Andrew Scott To Play Husband & Wife in HBO's Upcoming Movie 'Oslo'

Ruth Wilson is joining Andrew Scott for her next big role in HBO’s Oslo, THR reports.

Based on the Tony Award-winning play by J.T. Rogers, it tells a story of the secret back-channel talks, unlikely friendships and quiet heroics of a small but committed group of Israelis, Palestinians and one Norwegian couple that led to the 1993 Oslo Peace Accords.

Bartlett Sher will direct and Steven Spielberg, Marc Platt, Kristie Macosko Krieger and David Litvak will executive produce.

In the movie, Ruth will play Mona Juul, a Norwegian foreign minister and Andrew is Terje Rød-Larsen, a sociologist and Mona’s husband.

The cast of Oslo also includes Salim Dau, Waleed Zuaiter, Jeff Wilbusch, Igal Naor, Dov Glickman, Rotem Kainan, Itzik Cohen, Tobias Zilliacus and Sasson Gabai.

This will be the second team up for Ruth and Andrew, who also star in His Dark Materials.
