Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola, who you may remember as an original member of the Jersey Shore back when it debuted on MTV in 2009, is returning to the show this week!
The original show ran from 2009 to 2012 before a revival series, Jersey Shore: Family Vacation debuted in 2018. The revival series saw each of the original cast members – Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, Jenni “JWoww” Farley, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Paul “Pauly D” DelVecchio, Angelina Pivarnick, Vinny Guadagnino, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Deena Cortese – return. Sammi, however, opted not to come back.
However, the new season, which debuts on Thursday (August 3), will see the return of Sammi Sweetheart!
Now, Sammi, 36, is explaining why she didn’t join the series and why she’s finally decided to come back.

Both Sammi Giancola and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro have moved on from their Jersey Shore days, despite being some of the defining members of the pioneering reality TV series. But will they ever return for a new season of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation?
Sammi skipped out on the reboot of the show from when it was first launched in 2018. Meanwhile, Ronnie took a step back in 2021 to “seek medical treatment for mental health issues that I’ve ignored for too long.”
Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino weighed in on the chances of either star making a comeback and some other drama related to them and fellow castmates.

Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi was part of the original cast of Jersey Shore when it premiered in late 2009 on MTV, and now, she just revealed one of the show’s original stars blocked her number.
If you don’t know, the show rebooted on MTV in 2018 as Jersey Shore: Family Vacation with most of the original cast returning.
