Lots of A-List Celebs Bought Out Performances of Broadway's 'Ain't No Mo,' Helping the Struggling Play Extend Its Run After Announcing Abrupt Closing

The Broadway play Ain’t No Mo’ announced an abrupt closing notice last week, but it will get another week of life thanks to the support of several A-List celebs.

The new show, by playwright Jordan E. Cooper, celebrated its opening night performance just a couple weeks ago, but sadly sales have been low, forcing the show to close earlier than expected.

Ain’t No Mo’ dares to ask the incendiary question, “What if the U.S. government attempted to solve racism … by offering Black Americans one-way plane tickets to Africa?”

Lee Daniels is the lead producer on the play, which made history with Jordan becoming the youngest Black American playwright ever on Broadway.

Several A-List stars have bought out performances to show their support for the struggling show and allow new audiences to experience the play. The show is now running through December 23 and you can get tickets for the final performances on
