Now that Sex Education has come to an end after it’s fourth season, you may be wanting more and wondering if there will be any spinoffs.

In a new interview, series creator Laurie Nunn opened up about the show ending at this time and the potential opportunities for spinoffs.

“It started to become really clear that the characters were coming to this natural conclusion, and I felt really happy about where they were going to be left. And it suddenly felt like the right time to end the show,” she told THR about deciding now was the time to end.

Netflix’s hilarious and moving series, Sex Education, has sadly come to an end after four wonderful seasons.

The popular dramedy follows the awkward teenage son of a sex therapist, Otis, as he and his friends and family navigate love and lust…and make lots of mistakes along the way.

Here’s the season’s synopsis: Following the closure of Moordale Secondary, Otis and Eric now face a new frontier – their first day at Cavendish Sixth Form College. Otis is nervous about setting up his new clinic, whilst Eric is praying they won’t be losers again. But Cavendish is a culture shock for all the Moordale students – they thought they were progressive but this new college is another level. There’s daily yoga in the communal garden, a strong sustainability vibe and a group of kids who are popular for being… kind?! Viv is totally thrown by the college’s student-led, non-competitive approach, while Jackson is still struggling to get over Cal. Aimee tries something new by taking an Art A-Level and Adam grapples with whether mainstream education is for him. Over in the US, Maeve is living her dream at prestigious Wallace University, being taught by cult author Thomas Molloy. Otis is pining after her, whilst adjusting to not being an only child at home, or the only therapist on campus…

Netflix recently announced that Sex Education‘s fourth season will be its last and fans are understandably devastated!

Season four will debut on the streamer on September 21, 2023, and unfortunately, there’s some bad news. At least three stars won’t be returning for the show’s fourth season. In addition, one claims they aren’t coming back…but there’s a twist!

If you don’t know, season three debuted in September 2021 and was quickly renewed for another season, so fans have been waiting quite a while for the show’s new episodes.
