As promised, Thirty Seconds To Mars have officially returned with a brand new single called “Walk On Water“!

The track marks the band’s – consisting of members Jared Leto, Shannon Leto and Tomo Milicevic – first song in four years. It’s set to serve as the lead single to their highly anticipated forthcoming fifth studio album.

“After four long years, hundreds of days, thousands of hours, gazillions of seconds, we have finally managed to finish a single fu**ing song. Whoever thought “soon” would actually be here “now”. With the help of groundbreaking nanotechnology, chatbots and self-driving music software, we have wrangled from the depths of our cold black hearts, some semblance of a song,” Jared said in a statement.

“If you’re still reading this press release and managed to get this far, you should probably get to work or school before you get fired or grounded,” Jared continued. “If you’re stubborn, like I am, please continue and let me share with you a few words on our brand new single, the ever so subtle and minimalist ode we tenderly call ‘WALK ON WATER’. Of course this entire paragraph is complete and total hogwash but I’m not sure exactly what to say about the song. Honestly, we miss you all. We can’t wait to get back on the road and we couldn’t be more proud to share with you the first first single off of our new album. And yes, we have been working on it for four years. The last time we put an album out, there were no self driving cars, no fidget spinners, President Trump was still that guy on The Apprentice and Jon Snow hadn’t even died yet. #SpoilerAlert”

Thirty Seconds to Mars are finally getting ready to release some brand new music!

After much teasing throughout the year, the band – consisting of members Jared Leto, Shannon Leto and Tomo Milicevic – have announced that they will release their new single called “Walk On Water” on Tuesday (August 22)!

“THE NEW SINGLE / WALK ON WATER / AUGUST 22. #SOON,” the guys tweeted along with a video teaser showing them getting yelled at by a Interscope Records executive.

The announcement is timely considering Thirty Seconds to Mars are set to hit the main stage as performers at the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, August 27.

Jared Leto wears a bright red shirt while stopping by The Retreat during weekend one of the 2016 Coachella Music Festival on Saturday afternoon (April 16) in Palm Springs, Calif.

The 44-year-old actor was joined at the event by his brother Shannon Leto. Also stepping out at the retreat was Scream Queens actor Diego Boneta.

Diego took a cue from one of Jared‘s upcoming movies when captioning an Instagram photo that day.

“Suicide squad #coachella,” Diego wrote as the caption for the below pic.

While at the event, Jared picked up an Amazon Tap at the Amazon Lounge at the Korakia.

The 43-year-old Oscar-winning actor enjoyed the frights at the event with his brother and Thirty Seconds to Mars band mate Shannon Leto.

In a new interview, Suicide Squad actress Corina Calderon opened up about the effect that Jared‘s performance had on the rest of the cast.

“Jared Leto as the Joker is just brilliant. I was amazed, absolutely mesmerized. Watching him really gave me this whole new freedom as an actress. I felt ballsy just watching him. An amazing lesson and an amazing teacher, but he didn’t even know he was teaching me,” she said.

Shannon Leto was arrested for DUI on Monday evening (June 16) in Hollywood, according to TMZ.

The 44-year-old Thirty Seconds to Mars drummer and older brother of Oscar-winning actor Jared Leto was busted around 7:00pm when cops saw his car stalled on Fairfax Blvd. He showed signs of impairment, so cops arrested him.

Shannon is still in custody and being held on $5,000 bail for the DUI, as well as $2,500 for an outstanding traffic warrant for driving without a license.
