Tina Lawson is sticking up for her friend Holly Robinson Peete.

On Friday (March 12), Holly took to Instagram to open up about her time as a co-host on The Talk, claiming that one of the reasons behind her leaving the show in 2011 was because Sharon Osbourne complained about her.

Holly also said that Sharon complained that she was too “ghetto” for the show.

After sharing the post, Tina took to the comments to react, saying Sharon took “white privilege to the max.”

“Wow Unbelievable!!! She was wrong and inappropriate and she really took her White privilege to the max,” Tina wrote. “You are one of the classiest people I know! Far more classy than she will ever be! How dare she!!! They sure didn’t stop a thing you are still here as beautiful and busy as ever! Booked and Busy baby!!!!”

Sharon has been in the headlines all this week after she backed her support of Piers Morgan over his comments about Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.

Sharon Osbourne Says CBS Execs Ordered 'The Talk' Co-Hosts to Grill Her About Piers Morgan

Sharon Osbourne is speaking out with accusations against CBS following the episode of The Talk in which she discussed her friend Piers Morgan‘s comments about Meghan Markle.

The television personality previously defended Piers‘ right to freedom of speech and later made a statement about how she didn’t actually agree with what he said.

Now, Sharon says that CBS executives ordered her The Talk co-hosts to grill her on the subject and she was blindsided by the action.

“I blame the network for it,” Sharon told Variety. “I was blindsided, totally blindsided by the whole situation. In my 11 years, this was the first time I was not involved with the planning the segment.”

Sharon says that she was asked by The Talk showrunners just eight minutes before the show if it was okay to discuss Piers.

“I said, ‘Sure, they can ask me whatever.’ But then I get on there, I say my piece and Sheryl [Underwood] turns around straight-faced, looks at me and is reading from a card with questions. I was just so hurt, caught off guard and stunned by what I was being asked and not prepared. I was honestly in shock. I felt like I was in front of a firing squad. I felt like a lamb held out for slaughter. … They had me there for 20 minutes,’” Sharon said.

Sharon says she “begged them to stop, to please change subjects” during a commercial break.

“I’m a big girl. I’m a professional,” she said. “However CBS blindsided me. I don’t know why they did it to me. The showrunners told me it came from executives to do this to me.”

Sharon also responded to former co-host Holly Robinson Peete‘s claim that she had her fired from the show.

“It’s an absolute lie—a 110 percent lie,” Sharon said. “I cannot have anyone fired…And that is a not a term I use. That’s not in my vocabulary. I don’t speak like that. The only ghetto I know is the Warsaw Ghetto and I think that’s the only time I’ve ever referred to something like that.”

CBS announced on Friday that the network is investigating the episode. A rep told Deadline, “We are committed to a diverse, inclusive and respectful workplace. All matters related to the Wednesday episode of The Talk are currently under internal review.”

Holly Robinson Peete Says Sharon Osbourne Once Complained About Her Hosting 'The Talk'

Holly Robinson Peete is opening up about her time co-hosting The Talk alongside Sharon Osbourne.

The 56-year-old actress and activist left the show in 2011 and is claiming that one of the reasons behind her leaving was because Sharon complained about her.

“I’m old enough to remember when Sharon complained that I was too ‘ghetto’ for #theTalk…then I was gone 💨,” Holly wrote on her Twitter page.

She goes on, saying that she’s bringing it up now “bc I was mortified watching the disrespectful condescending tone she took w/her co host who remained calm & respectful because…she HAD to. 🤦🏽‍♀️ 🤷🏽‍♀️ #fbf.”

Holly was part of the team of hosts that included Sharon, Sara Gilbert, Julie Chen and Leah Remini. The only one still on the show is Sharon.

At the time, Holly claimed that at the time she and Leah were “let go”, there was no explanation given.

Sharon has been in the headlines all this week after she backed her support of Piers Morgan over his comments about Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.

A heated argument broke out on the show between Sharon and Sheryl Underwood over why she was supporting him. Here’s what happened…

Just hours after the show, Sharon released a statement about what happened.

Sharon Osbourne Makes Statement After 'The Talk' Discussion About Her Supporting Piers Morgan Amid His Meghan Markle Comments

Sharon Osbourne has made a formal statement following her on-air discussion with The Talk co-host Sheryl Underwood about her support of Piers Morgan.

Earlier this week, the 68-year-old was involved in an on-air dispute after she publicly supported Piers over his comments about Meghan Markle.

“.@piersmorgan I am with you. I stand by you,” Sharon had shared on Twitter following Piers leaving his own show, Good Morning Britain, after slamming the Duchess of Sussex for her interview and revelations she shared during an interview with Oprah Winfrey. “People forget that you’re paid for your opinion and that you’re just speaking your truth.”

The day after her tweet, Sharon explained that she didn’t “agree with what he said,” but supported her friend’s “freedom of speech.”

Sheryl then asked her what she would say to people who felt it was racist to defend a person making such comments and Sharon replied: “For me, at 68 years of age to have to turn around and say ‘I ain’t racist’ – what’s it got to do with me? How could I be racist about anybody? How could I be racist about anybody or anything in my life? How can I?”

“Well–” Sheryl began to respond, just as the show cut to commercial. The conversation didn’t stop though, and continued on when the cameras cut off.

When the show returned, the two continued the conversation.

“I will ask you again, Sheryl, I was asking you during the break and I’m asking you again. And don’t try and cry, because if anyone should be crying, it should be me,” she said as she raised her voice. “This is the situation: you tell me where you have heard him say – educate me. Tell me when you have heard him say racist things. Educate me. Tell me.”

Sheryl told her that it isn’t “the exact words of racism,” but rather the “implication and the reaction to it.”

“To not want to address that because she is a Black woman, and to try to dismiss it or to make it seem less than what it is, that’s what makes it racist. But right now, I’m talking to a woman who I believe is my friend and I don’t want anybody here to watch this and say that we’re attacking you for being racist. And for that, if I articulated anything –”

“I think it’s too late. I think that seed is already sown,” Sharon quipped.

Following the on-air outburst, Sharon reflected on what went down and has issued a statement to her fans and fans of the show.

Sharon Osbourne Doubles Down on Defending Piers Morgan, Gets Called Out By Sheryl Underwood

Sharon Osbourne got emotional defending herself for defending her “friend” Piers Morgan during the latest episode of The Talk.

Morgan is under fire for denying Meghan Markle‘s reality and suicidal thoughts. He said, “I don’t believe a word she says, Meghan Markle. I wouldn’t believe it if she read me a weather report and that fact that she fired up this onslaught against our royal family, I think is contemptible.” Morgan ended up leaving his morning show after storming off the set while being called out.

Sharon defended him at the time, and she defended him again on the talk show on Wednesday (March 10).

“Did I like everything he said? Did I agree with what he said? No,” Sharon said. “Because it’s his opinion. It’s not my opinion…I support him for his freedom of speech, and he’s my friend.”

She continued, “I’m not racist…I don’t care what color or what religion anyone is. Are you a nice person? That’s what I judge you on.”

Her co-host Sheryl Underwood said, “What would you say to people who may feel that while you’re standing by your friend, it appears you gave validation or safe haven to something that he has uttered that is racist, even if you don’t agree?”

Sharon then began getting emotional and said, “I very much feel like I’m about to be put in the electric chair because I have a friend, who many people think is a racist, so that makes me a racist? What does it gotta do with me?”

“I will ask you again Sheryl, I’ve been asking you during the break and I’m asking you again, and don’t try and cry cause if anyone should be crying it should be me,” Sharon said.

“Educate me!” Sharon said with tears in her eyes. “Tell me when you have heard him say racist things.”

“It is not the exact words of racism, it’s the implication and the reaction to it,” Sheryl responded. “To not want to address that because she is a Black woman, and to try to dismiss it or to make it seem less than what it is that’s what makes it racist,” Underwood said. “But right now, I’m talking to a woman I believe is my friend and I don’t want anybody here to watch this and think we are attacking you for being racist.”

Sharon Osbourne Defends Piers Morgan: 'I Stand By You'

Piers Morgan has been under fire for his constant vitriolic comments about Meghan Markle that led to him being called out on his morning show Good Morning Britain. He stormed off set, and it was just revealed that he will now be permanently leaving the morning show.

You can see the video of him storming off set right here.

Now, it appears as if he has at least one supporter in The Talk‘s Sharon Osbourne.

Some backstory: The 55-year-old was co-hosting on Good Morning Britain on March 9 when his co-host Alex Beresford confronted him.

“I understand that you don’t like Meghan Markle. You’ve made it so clear a number of times on this program—a number of times,” Alex said. “And I understand that you’ve got a personal relationship with Meghan Markle or had one and she cut you off. She’s entitled to cut you off if she wants to. Has she said anything about you since she cut you off? I don’t think she has but yet you continue to trash her.”

Piers got up and left at this moment, saying, “OK, I’m done with this. Sorry. No. Sorry. You can trash me mate, but not on my own show. See you later. Sorry, can’t do this.”

If you don’t know, Piers claims to have been friends with Meghan back in 2015. They apparently hung out in 2016 during the same trip where she went on her first date with Prince Harry.

'The Talk' Hosts Call Out Diane Sawyer for Her Britney Spears Interview in 2003

The hosts of The Talk are calling on legendary journalist Diane Sawyer to apologize to Britney Spears for how she treated the singer in a 2003 interview.

Diane‘s interview with Britney is put on the spotlight in the new documentary Framing Britney Spears, which is streaming now on Hulu.

In the interview, with a then 22-year-old Britney, the journalist asked about her split from Justin Timberlake and said, “You broke his heart. You did something that caused him so much pain, so much suffering. What did you do?”

Diane also brought up a comment made that year by Maryland’s first lady, who called the singer a bad influence and said, “Really, if I had an opportunity to shoot Britney Spears, I think I would.” Diane then seemingly defended that horrific comment by saying, “It’s because of the example for kids and how hard it is to be a parent.”
