Samantha Barks has finally made her debut as Elsa in Frozen the Musical after a long delay!
The 30-year-old actress was announced to be playing Elsa back in December 2019 and the musical was supposed to kick off performances in October 2020, but the opening was delayed by nearly a year because of the pandemic.
Samantha and co-star Stephanie McKeon, who plays Anna, took their bows during the curtain call of the first performance on Friday (August 27) at Theatre Royal in London, England.
Audiences were treated to a special surprise – a summer snowfall outside of the theater following the performance. There are some great photos of the audience members enjoying the fake snow!
“THE SNOW!! Wasn’t it so magical,” Samantha tweeted after the show.
Samantha is best known for playing Eponine in the Les Miserables movie and she made her Broadway debut in the musical Pretty Woman.
