'Beef' Stars Steven Yeun & Ali Wong Break Silence on Co-Star David Choe Rape Scandal

The stars and creator of Beef are responding to the resurfaced criticism against cast member David Choe.

Following the release of the new Netflix series, David, 47, came under fire after an interview he gave back in 2014 resurfaced where he joked about being a “successful rapist” during a massage.

On Friday (April 21), Beef stars and executive producers Steven Yeun and Ali Wong, along with show creator Lee Sung Jin, released a statement calling David‘s comments “undeniably hurtful and extremely disturbing,” but said that he’s “put in the work to get the mental health support he needed.”

The co-stars posed for photos while arriving at the premiere of BEEF on Thursday evening (March 30) held at the Netflix Tudum Theater in Los Angeles.
