Stranger Things‘ fourth season was split into two parts and the first part fell into the eligibility window for the 2022 Emmy Awards while the second part is in the eligibility window for the 2023 show.

Only one actor from the show is eligible for awards consideration this year though.

Why?

The Emmys have a rule that a series must have six episodes or more in a season to be eligible for the Drama Series category or the main series acting categories. Part one had seven episodes while part two only had two episodes.

Matt and Ross Duffer (aka the Duffer Brothers) have confirmed the status of season five of Stranger Things.

If you don’t know, last week, the Writer’s Guild of America (WGA) announced that Hollywood writers would go on strike.

Thousands of unionized writers have been arguing for fair wages in the streaming era. In the last few weeks, negotiations stalled and broke down, and the board of directors for the WGA voted unanimously to call for a walkout.

The strike began on early Tuesday (May 2), effectively bringing TV production to a halt and marking the first walkout in more than 15 years.

Some of the cast of Stranger Things took to social media to share congratulatory messages to Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi!

If you didn’t see, the 19-year-old Stranger Things actress and 20-year-old budding actor (and son of Jon Bon Jovi) are presumed to be engaged after posting what appeared to be an engagement announcement pic, complete with a diamond ring on that finger! We’ve reached out to Millie‘s reps for comment but have not heard back at this time.

It’s official – the Stranger Things world is getting bigger with an animated series treatment in the works.

According to Deadline, the still untitled show has been greenlit at Netflix, as its being developed by Flying Bark Productions and executive producer Eric Robles.

A rumor about Millie Bobby Brown is circulating on the Internet and the Stranger Things writers are putting a stop to it once and for all.

Recently, a headline was published by the DailyMail which read, “Millie Bobby Brown ‘turns down £10million paycheck to star in Stranger Things spin-off film’ as she wants to ‘branch out.’” For those in the USA, that’s about $12 million. The story was picked up elsewhere and circulated online.

Now, the Stranger Things writers are responding.
