Joey King poses for some photos at home in Los Angeles while taping a virtual appearance on The Today Show on Wednesday morning (July 22).

The 20-year-old actress was on the show to promote her new Netflix movie The Kissing Booth 2, which will be released on Friday.

Joey says that she think the sequel is even better than the first, which was Netflix’s most re-watched movie in 2018. She was also asked if there’s a possibility of a third movie happening in the future.

“Well, me and the cast have been talking and we want that so bad and we’re kind of relying on the fans to help us out. They loved the first one so much and they’re the reason that we got a sequel. So if they love this one and they make it known to the world and to Netflix, our fingers are crossed that Netflix will give us a third movie because that’s what we want really badly,” Joey said.

The 20-year-old actress went live on YouTube on Thursday afternoon (May 21) and she was joined by co-stars Joel Courtney, Taylor Zakhar Perez, and Maisie Richardson-Sellers during the live stream event.

The first Kissing Booth movie was one of Netflix’s most successful movies of 2018 and fans have been so excited for the sequel.

Here is the movie’s official synopsis: Elle Evans (King) just had the most romantic summer of her life with her reformed bad-boy boyfriend Noah Flynn (Jacob Elordi). But now Noah is off to Harvard, and Elle heads back to high school for her senior year. She’ll have to juggle a long-distance relationship, getting into her dream college with her best friend Lee (Courtney), and the complications brought on by a close friendship with a handsome, charismatic new classmate named Marco (Perez). When Noah grows close to a seemingly-perfect college girl (Richardson-Sellers), Elle will have to decide how much she trusts him and to whom her heart truly belongs.

Stars Joey King, Joel Courtney and Jacob Elordi will all be returning for their roles as Elle, Lee and Noah for the second film, which is currently in production.

Vince Marcello will be directing.

Joey King and Jacob Elordi hit up the farmer’s market on Sunday (May 27) in Studio City, Calif.

The couple joked around and had fun while checking out the goods.

Earlier in the week, Joey shared a behind-the-scenes video from the set of their movie The Kissing Booth.

“So I mayyyy have secretly filmed part of mine and @joel_courtney’s burger eating scene with my phone on the ground….and I also mayyyy have eaten sooo many burgers while filming this, that I threw up during the next scene I had to film which was of me playing soccer 😂🤢 #TheKissingBooth,” she wrote with the video. Here’s a plot summary: When Elle Evans (King), a pretty, late-bloomer who’s never-been-kissed, decides to run a kissing booth at her high school’s Spring Carnival, she unexpectedly finds herself locking lips with her secret crush– the ultimate bad boy, Noah Flynn (Elordi). Sparks fly, but there’s one little problem: Noah just happens to be the brother of her best friend, Lee, (Joel Courtney) and is absolutely off limits according to the rules of their friendship pact. Elle’s life is turned upside down when she realizes that she must ultimately make a choice: follow the rules or follow her heart.

The Kissing Booth premieres on Netflix on May 11.
