Earlier in the day, the co-stars were joined by fellow castmate Tobias Menzies for an AOL Build panel.

Sam recently chatted with Elle about everything from losing his virginity to wearing a modesty pouch on Outlander.

“I think everyone’s first time is pretty uneventful,” Sam said about his first time. “You build it up, but it’s just a moment in time, and I certainly think as you get older it gets easier and you learn a lot more about yourself as well. So I guess what I would say if I could go back in time is, Don’t worry about it.”

Sam said that wearing a modesty pouch is “quite complicated. You’ve got to do a lot of tying and untying. It’s like a sock, but you’ve got to tie it on and you want it to be pretty tight. To be honest, the tighter it is, the better. It reduces any chances of enjoying yourself too much.”

The actors were joined at the event by their co-star Tobias Menzies.

Sam recently opened up to Vanity Fair about the celebrity fan of the show that surprised him the most.

“I had dinner with William Shatner last week and I couldn’t believe it. He’s a fan of the show,” Sam said. “He’s really funny, and I owe him dinner now. I still can’t believe I met him!”

Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan hit the red carpet in style while attending the season two world premiere of their hit show Outlander held at the American Museum of Natural History on Monday (April 4) in New York City.

The 36-year-old actress and 35-year-old actor were joined at the event by their Outlander co-star Tobias Menzies, executive producers Ronald D. Moore and Maril Davis, as well as costume designer Terry Dresbach.

Caitriona and Sam recently teamed up to prove how well they know each other in a round of The Newlywed Game in support of the show, which returns to Starz on Saturday (April 9) – Watch it below!

Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe pair up on the carpet at the mid-season premiere of their hit Starz series Outlander on Wednesday (April 1) at the Ziegfeld Theater in New York City.

The actors were joined by co-stars Lotte Verbeek, Tobias Menzies, and Graham McTavish, as well as creator Ronald D. Moore.

Sam recently chatted with the New York Daily News about having to sit through long makeup sessions for the show.

“It’s ridiculous,” he said. “I’ll get into makeup at 4 a.m. and be there until 8 or 9. And you have to be standing for most of it. But there was a lot of makeup time on Game of Thrones, too, and fortunately the makeup team and I get on well. We play music. I also know a lot about prosthetics.”
