The event went to benefit ACM Lifting Lives. The organization is actually the philanthropic arm of the Academy of Country Music. Their mission is as follows: “Through partnerships with artists and strong ties in the music industry, ACM Lifting Lives® funds music health programs while also serving members of the music community who face unexpected hardships through its Diane Holcomb Emergency Relief Fund.”

Garth Brooks Says His 'Queen' Trisha Yearwood Has Tested Positive For Coronavirus

Garth Brooks has revealed that wife Trisha Yearwood has tested positive for coronavirus.

The country couple’s team shared a note from the duo on Facebook, revealing the news.

The note shared that Garth and Trisha have been “quarantining at home on the heels of a recent positive Covid test by a member of their team” and that while Trisha tested positive, Garth‘s own test came back negative.

“The Queen and I have now tested twice,” Garth said. “Officially, she’s diagnosed as ‘on her way out of the tunnel’ now, though, which I’m extremely thankful for.”

Severe winter weather in Tennessee prevented the couple from getting tested until almost a week after their initial exposure; once they did, they continued to quarantine together.

He continued, “Anyone who knows me knows my world begins and ends with Miss Yearwood, so she and I will ride through this together, and anyone who knows her knows she’s a fighter and she’s been doing everything right, so I know we’ll walk out the other side of this thing together.”

The couple’s team also shared that Trisha is doing okay and is dealing with symptoms of the contagious virus.

“She’s tough. She’s stronger than me,” Garth added. “If anyone asks, that’s [say a prayer] what you can do for her. That’s what I’m doing. Living with her, I sometimes take it for granted she’s one of the greatest voices in all of music, so the possible long-term effects on her concern me as her husband and as a fan.”

Last year, Garth and Trisha had to go into quarantine after exposure from another person.

The duo were also at the forefront of virtual entertainment and brought mini concerts to their fans from their home studio.

Garth Brooks & Trisha Yearwood Go Into Quarantine After Possible COVID-19 Exposure

Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood have decided to go into quarantine after they, and their camp, were potentially exposed to coronavirus.

The country couple announced today that they would have to cancel their upcoming Inside Studio G concert as they head into quarantine for precaution.

“Out of an abundance of caution, Garth Brooks is moving his and Trisha Yearwood’s July 7th Facebook concert to a later date and postponing Inside Studio G for 2 weeks,” an announcement read on their official sites.

It continues, “While Garth and Trisha are fine, the Garth/Trisha camp has possibly been exposed to the Covid-19 virus. To be smart about this, they are all quarantining for 2 weeks and thank everyone for their concern.”

While Garth and Trisha are fine at the moment, their choice to go self-isolate is a smart one, given the coronavirus numbers that keep increasing across the nation as businesses and people started to return to “normal”.

At the beginning of the pandemic, Garth and Trisha put on a Facebook Live concert which crashed the site, before hosting it on CBS.

Garth Brooks & Trisha Yearwood Will Perform With No Audience at Grand Ole Opry This Weekend

Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood will be performing at the Grand Ole Opry this weekend!

The married country music stars will be taking over the iconic venue for the Opry’s 4,922nd Saturday night performance in a row, local station KKTV reports.

“I’m gonna do some of the greatest country music on the planet. I don’t even know if I’m gonna do any of mine!” Garth joked about the upcoming performance during his InsideStudioG Facebook episode.

He added, “I’m sure there’s probably gonna be some [George] Jones, there’s gonna be some Randy Travis, some [George] Strait, some [Merle] Haggard … and then, you know, the Queen, she’s gonna sing some of the greatest stuff ever, and it could all be hers, too. This is gonna be a fun Saturday night. I’m honored.”

The event will be held without an audience, complying with Nashville’s ongoing safer-at-home order.

Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood put on such an amazing show for their special event, Garth & Trisha Live!, which aired on CBS tonight.

The longtime married country stars were flooded with song requests from fans on social media.

During the program, Garth and Trisha also pledged $1 million to COVID-19 relief efforts.

“In regular-bad times, it’s military in the front line,” Garth shared during the broadcast. “And now it’s all the doctors, nurses, volunteers — all those people on the front line. We love you guys. You have all of our strength and all of our prayers.”

Trisha added, “We all know somebody who’s a first responder. This is something that affects us all. It’s scary but there’s also a comfort in knowing we all in this together and we will get through it.”
