'Queen of the Universe' Cast Includes 'American Idol' & 'Drag Race' Alums - Queens Revealed!

There are many familiar faces in the cast of Queen of the Universe!

The upcoming drag singing competition series, set to premiere on Paramount+ on December 2, includes 14 contestants from a variety of different backgrounds, including plenty of former reality TV stars.

The new cast of 14 queens represents 10 regions around the world, including the United States, Mexico, Brazil, Denmark, Australia, Canada, England, France, China, and India, and features several pageant winners and alums from The X Factor, American Idol and RuPaul’s Drag Race, as well as The Switch.

Each episode, the queens will perform in front of a live audience and judges Michelle Visage, Trixie Mattel, Vanessa Williams and Leona Lewis. Graham Norton will host the competition.

The winner will receive a $250,000 prize.

Vanessa Williams and Leona Lewis are lending their singing skills to a new competition.

The stars will join RuPaul’s Drag Race winner Trixie Mattel and judge Michelle Visage in an all-new drag queen singing competition called Queens of the Universe on Paramount+, Variety reported.

The RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars winner appeared in the second episode of the 20-year-old YouTuber’s Instant Influencer competition series on Friday (May 1).

The beauty competition series finds makeup guru hopefuls competing to become the next big infleuncer on the platform, including a collaboration opportunity with James on his channel, a home studio full of equipment and $50,000.

This week, the artists are challenged to create their ultimate drag transformation.

VH1 Announces 'RuPaul's Secret Celebrity Drag Race'!

RuPaul’s Drag Race is expanding!

VH1 announced on Friday (April 10) that a brand new, star-filled celebrity edition of the long-running drag reality TV competition series will debut later this month.

RuPaul’s Secret Celebrity Drag Race will launch on April 24 at 9:30 p.m. ET on VH1.

“Each episode in the four-part event series will feature a trio of celebrities opening up their hearts and minds to the transformative power of drag. After getting some help from beloved past contestants — deemed ‘Queen Supremes’ — Alyssa Edwards, Asia O’Hara, Bob the Drag Queen, Kim Chi, Monét X Change, Monique Heart, Nina West, Trinity the Tuck, Trixie Mattel and Vanessa Vanjie Mateo, the celebrity contestants will compete in fan-favorite challenges and step onto the runway in their new looks,” Variety reports.

Each episode, one of the three celebrities will win the title of America’s Next Celebrity Drag Race Superstar. as well as prize money for a charity of their choice.

RuPaul’s Secret Celebrity Drag Race is a blast. We put these celebrities through it! Because no matter how famous your charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent is, you still put your pantyhose on one leg at a time,” RuPaul said in a statement.

This Drag Race event was canceled due to the ongoing pandemic.
