Tony Award winners Liev Schreiber and Tyne Daly are heading back to Broadway!
The two actors will star in the first Broadway revival of the play Doubt: A Parable, written by John Patrick Shanley.
Here’s the synopsis: “Sister Aloysius, the prickly principal of an all-boys Catholic school in a working-class part of the Bronx, is feared by students and colleagues alike. But when she suspects nefarious relations between the charismatic priest Father Flynn and a student, she’s forced to wrestle with what’s fact, what’s fiction, and how much she’ll risk to expose the difference—all the while wrestling with her own bone-deep doubts.”
Tyne will play Sister Aloysius while Liev will star as Father Flynn. Additional casting will be announced at a later date.
The play won the Tony Award for Best Play and was later turned into a movie with Meryl Streep, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Viola Davis, and Amy Adams.
Doubt will begin performances in February 2024 at Roundabout Theatre Company’s American Airlines Theatre.
